we've been waiting since '08.

i realize this program has shot itself, but after Nuclear option. If this is the best the admin can bring...it makes me think they truly dont care.

while i am feeling melty. i do take solace in the facts that White has developed a rep for leaving bread crumbs to push us off his scent.

A source told Farrell that the Tennessee job is Elliott's if he wants it. We are not disputing Farrell's reporting; that information may well be true, though we cannot verify it.

But we are confident in saying that, as of this morning, there had yet to be any contact between Elliott and Tennessee.

Some are reading my comments as negative, but that's not the case. This is the process. You have a shortlist. It's both optimistic and opportunistic. The top is generally the guys everyone wants, and they're often locked in where they are or waiting for something specific. Most schools go down their list. If you have a Top 5, anyone on that list would be considered a win.

Freeze was out the window the second we hired someone with integrity who is also looking for a coach with integrity.

Not only did he get in NCAA hot water, he lied to players on his own team and to recruits about the investigation’s findings in an effort to save his own azz.

Again, this isn’t a normal search. Or rather, it is. No information is being leaked until it gets announced. This is proof that people are pushing agent agendas. Just sit back and enjoy whoever we hire.

Yes. I understand if you don’t think a first time HC is the answer. But don’t downplay his ability as an OC. He is a great OC.

Are you saying we've moved down the list from what you're hearing or are you just speaking of how the game is played?

I’m saying that Alabama churns through assistants yearly and never misses a beat. Clemson has had remarkable stability when it comes to Venables and Elliot. There may be something to that

^^^^ If honestly rather keep Steele for a year and try again next year if it’s Elliott or nothing. That’s how badly I don’t want it to be Elliott
