Yeah and also this dude played for Clemson under Bowden. I would almost imagine he is at his dream job, might be made coach in waiting by Dabo? Really can't get myself hyped for this choice but I trust DW to make the right call.This. How do you bring a guy that has never been a HC where he needs to learn on the job while having to deal with the NCAA issues? Just does not line up with what they have said so far related to wanting experience.
No because we’ll never top 8-4 if we even reach those heights under first time HC with no experience ElliotElliott would be a name that the national media loves. He also has ties to top guys. What kind of staff he could put together is a big question mark but he is intriguing. My biggest worry is if Dabo leaves for Bama in 3 years does Clemson come calling.
The staff is a big concern. He's never coached outside South Carolina.
If he can clear that hurdle... Who knows.
I don't think he and Pruitt are on the same rung of the ladder, in terms of coordinator candidates. Pruitt was known to be a project.
Elliott is much less so, by all accounts.
You are insane....Danny white knows what he is looking for in a coach..... great coaches come from small colleges.... coordinators...... or even wr coaches likeSeeya in 3 years at the next coach search.
Wonder if we will have a new AD on the next one, and everyone saying "we got a real AD this time! and they are saying NO MORE COORDINATORS! no more trying someone out!"
