Campbell has put Iowa St Cyclones on the map & has made them competitive. We need a coach to build confidence in the current players & TN recruiting will almost take care of itself

Keeping a guy like J Graham and one or two adding one or two others beyond his own coaches would dramatically help the transition and stabilize the recruiting base.
Any news on Graham lately?

Unpopular take: Butch was a good football coach (albeit with flaws) and will likely have success again. He was so close to really breaking through in 2015 and 2016, and had we gotten a bounce go the other way here or there, he could still be here killing it. But not enough bounces went his way, and the negativity sunk him.

In 2016 Butch beat Fla and Georgia in dramatic fashion only to lose to a bad South Carolina and Vandy team. He sucked.

When looking at all of the coaches in college there really aren’t that many that just stand out as possible. Seems like a shortage of really good HCs out there.

I wonder if Kyle Whittingham would resurface as a guy with interest from one of previous searches.
