We are ******...you are a blind fool. And I mean that as nicely as I know how...we will see who is right. Choirboy **** don't win in the SEC. We are royally and completely ******.
It’s not about that.it’s If our admin and boosters finally all agree on a single one candidate...(which has never happened) then he will have more power and resources than anyone before him which makes him far more likely to succeed.

This is a link to a post on a Texas board summarizing what went wrong with Tom Herman. Worth a read, even though it doesn't get into any of the real salacious stuff that is floating around out there about his behavior off the field. Most of that is message board stuff, so hard to tell how much to believe. Probably the straw that broke the camel's back was how Herman handled The Eyes of Texas issue, which wouldn't be an issue that would follow him to Knoxville.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Herman would be an upgrade over what we've had, but I still have concerns about his maturity levels for a big job like this, and he needs to do some self-scouting about how things broke down for him at Texas. I think if he does that, he can have a successful second act. He reminds me a lot of where Lane Kiffin was when he got fired by USC.

Tom Herman Fired as UT Football Coach
"Maybe even his first meeting was his first red flag. (Maybe even before that meeting when he allegedly drove his U of H loaner car to Austin and told them to come pick it up)"..... WTF

If we made coaching hires/fires based off players and recruits Pruitt would still be here. Malzahn would still be at auburn, Muschamp would be at Florida. Trevor chose dabo lmk how Tennessee coulda got him
There are players and recruits, then there’s Trevor Lawrence. He had to be driven away from TN before he chose Dabo. I’m pretty sure TN would of had a very good shot at getting him with a few other coaches not named Butch Jones

I don't think this theory holds up with your previous theory of a "coup."

I think it makes perfect sense

You have to remember the coup leader told us here very proudly that they were going to ruin fulmer if they had to to get their way. Sounds like those last skeletons they gavf to plowman did that

If your coaching candidate has the tag “with a strong staff” attached to him.... you shouldn’t even waste the time to interview him.

That tag is for any coach. Your only as good as those under you but you need a face at top with results for them to recruit to. That is where we need to stop with the hires of no experience HCs. We spend 2-3 years selling hope that never pans out. You need something results driven to sell day 1 for current team, instate class and transfer marketS

This part makes me feel good about Herman.
"There’s a feeling within the current team Herman started learning too little too late. He became more approachable this year. Mike Yurcich became the primary yeller in practice and Herman toned down some. Previously we wrote there were no good cops to offset Herman’s bad cop routine. That stemmed from Herman keeping yes-men around who were trying to act just like him. It seemed like Herman finally started to get it."

Feels like there is no safe or medium hire this time. Or even an upstart like Pruitt was. This could be an experienced upgrade that has significant baggage... or a potato.

My head hurts and my heart is broken..I really believe I have just witnessed the suicide of tbe Tennessee Volunteer football program.

This squeaky clean choirboy **** doesn't win football games.
Wish I could stop caring man. My life would be so much healthier if I could stop caring about Tn football
