On team meeting...

There was a taped message from JP. Also speaking were Plowman, Fulmer and Steele. The message was about like you would expect. Steele’s message was they have to stick together and unite as a team and there is nothing we can’t do.

Henry is still in Cali. Not sure on his future.

Everyone else was there to my knowledge.

“This is absolutely a home-run hire for East Carolina to name Jon Gilbert as athletics director. He is an incredibly sharp administrator and will make an immense impact on ECU’s athletic programs and student-athletes. Jon was instrumental in laying the foundation for the resurgence of our basketball program here at Tennessee. During the years we worked with one another, I was extremely impressed with his approach to achieving excellence. Jon is very thoughtful and deliberate with every decision he makes. No detail goes unnoticed. He knows what it takes to build world-class programs that are student-athlete centered. He’s the total package and a star in this profession. I couldn’t be happier for Jon and his family. The future is very bright for East Carolina.” –Rick Barnes on Jon Gilbert

I am guilty as anyone, so this message certainly applies to me. It is easy to get caught up in the message board fodder that surrounds our beloved UT. I have been as deep in this journey as the rest of you, but I encourage us to not lose sight of what really matters.

Let’s know how to live, not just be alive. Overcome fear through faith. Lend a hand to the helpless. Love the hateful. Praise the unworthy. Be grateful for what you do have, not what you wish you had. Most of all, know that Jesus loves each of you. If He can bear our punishment for a debt He did not owe because we had a debt we could not pay, we can love and forgive.

In Christ,

Girth

The world’s gonna hear
Cause I’m gonna shout
And I will be dancing when circumstances
Drown the music out
Say I won’t

Sounds like Jon Gilbert was instrumental in helping Barnes construct a program that knows how to cheat correctly.

Something we desperately need now on the football team.

I’m in. Give me Jon Gilbert for AD. If the reverend Barnes says he is really good I want him

Great song. And Hugh Freeze is in that video.

Still have that shirt somewhere, I’m willing to find it. Might as well have some fun while we go down in flames.

Dave Hart was key in getting athletics funds away from academics and back into athletics. Also Hart brought in Barns, Currie was set to bring Mullen here but didn't get it wrapped up before Florida came in. I also credit Currie with saving Tennessee Baseball. What did Fulmer do besides meddle in the football program and allow sloppy cheating.

What candidate would not raise NCAA ire, be able to coach offense, know how to run a whole program and be able to recruit at a high level and get many of the 2022 in state prospects? That's who I want.

Just going through the presser in full...

LMFAO at Fulmer “recruiting has been good”... no s*** that’s why we’re here you big dummy!

well, to be fair, he was having to respond to what has to be the dumbest question ever asked.
I think it was something along the lines of..."what will be the legacy of Jeremy Pruitt era"
