I did not know the final outcome. I knew they had a lot on him, and I knew Fulmer was in equal jeopardy. People wanted them both gone, so removing Pruitt likely meant removing Fulmer-- which some did not want to do this year. I thought the direction changed when Pruitt went with a Birmingham attorney (Bama grad and Saban pal). That switch was telling. Like I said, UT made a bold move. Hope Plowman is an excellent chess player. We'll see.

Plowman watched The Queen's Gambit for some Chess moves

this is cool stuff....in my previous place of employment it wasn't all that uncommon for higher level mangers, etc. to come and go.
A guy that worked for me, his mother was the real estate broker that had the contract for corporate relocations for our company.
We always knew who was coming in and in some cases leaving well before any announcements were made.
Exactly... but who knows what is happening.. just throwing some info out that may be helpful around here.. may be completely false or could be 100% true. Who knows.. deff don’t want no cred here or trying to get any. Figured fellow Vol fans could use some info for the day.

Price say this will be a stability hire with all the issues going on. Herman probably won't be that guy. I'm have been and am still leaning towards Marrone. Fulmer retiring won't change his candidacy chances. He would've been the coach if the deal with Butch had fell through in late 2012.
Stability hire translation.... 8 year rebuild.

AP just stated they were told multiple level 1s.
I have heard rumors of Level 1 violations at UT since April of this year. I was told they were being very careless. Other P5 schools have heard about this, but I doubt if any schools would turn us in.
I did not think Fulmer would let investigation go this far. I have said on VN that Pruitt would stay unless major violation, but I believed the violations were real. Again, I thought Fulmer had enough clout at UT to protect Pruitt.
Obviously someone above Fulmer let the investigation go beyond him. Pruitt and Fulmer are attached at the hip. It is best to clean this up now, but it looks like it is going to be bad.

When you factor in potential NCAA sanctions, dysfunction at the highest levels of the athletic department, a gutted roster (that just won only three games), and the perception we rail-roaded our coach out of here, I think we could start hitting the bottom of the coaching pool very quickly.

I have a hard time seeing how this thing gets past Chadwell though.

Edit: and, also, we're probably going to ask the next head coach to keep Steele on staff.

I think many of us have felt strongly that Pruitt should be let go. And many have felt Fulmer needed to move on. But I'd love to hear more from @Atlanta VOL about why today is a day for celebrating dreams coming true. Obviously, you're well-connected. And it seems like this is a necessary step, but hardly a day of celebration.
