Not a big Hyams fan. However, he makes the call on events after he has confirmed them as most people know. He's no Trey Wallace. With Phil in the chair and the Haslam's active with Jabran, he has a bit of access again.

As an example, Brohm was coming until he blew it. Hyams would never go to ESPN with it if he was not. If releasing it too soon caused the back out like has been reported, I'm really glad Brohm did not come. I want a competent HC that wants to be here - period. No matter what excuse, no matter the press, no matter perceived hurt feelings - whatever. Coaches are paid a fortune that any of us would be willing to accept even with the snark and trashing they receive from the public at times. You need to have a burning desire to be a Vol HC, not just a HC somewhere in a P5 or the SEC. Orange blooded fans know the difference. Hasn't been one since Johnny and Phil.

I don’t get the meeting today is some kind of deadline. Seems to me if I’m fulmer and I’ve worked hard to get these kids back to campus telling them Pruitt is their guy I’d want that meeting to happen and then pull the plug. It’s easy to tell the team we did all we could to keep him but the ncaa issues were just too much to overcome and I couldn’t stop it.

Good grief folks. Bama isn’t looking got a head coach and every fired head coach under the sun has ended up there on staff in some capacity. You guys have pathetic takes sometimes.

I think that is how information goes around here. Things are pulled from someone's behind and introduced as "fact" on here and things get perpetuated from there. Im sure I'm as guilty as the next guy, but just pointing that out.

I'm not an insider nor do I claim to be like a few on here but I believe the kiddos on fanrun operate on message board rumors.

We never win. If we fire Pruitt, then we are going with Steele. It will be announced as interim HC for the year. We will self impose a ban, like I’ve seen others say and after this season we will “look” at other candidates but ultimately pick Steele.

At this point just keep lame duck. We can enjoy UT football for two more years and then burn it down, so I might as well enjoy it.....or try to.

Agree with you on the relative states of our programs, but I thought Jeff Stoutland was coming back to Bama from the Eagles to coach the OL?

Hyam's source is also Raja Jubran. I'm pretty sure that's where he got the Brohm info.

For the record I hope they do so we can’t should the need arise. If he works for Saban that only makes him look better to Phil in the end.

Sark as far as we all know has been clean since joining Sabans staff and will continue to do so once in Austin. We’ll see how the stress effects him though
