Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday

Gotcha. So under Trump’s watch elections were made more secure. That’s interesting given that Dems and the MSM literally said the complete opposite before the election. They were just setting the stage for the continued whining if they lost. The losing side always whines. I guess it’s all really Obama’s fault though. He knew about Russian interference and did nothing. I think he should be held accountable for not stopping the man who caused a riot. In a way Obama basically caused that terrorist attack on the Capitol.

Hahaha, right, Obama's fault.

After a full day of the GOP calling for unity and healing.

The train wreck is spilling over onto the freeway. The GOP is looking for chairs to rearrange on the deck of the titanic, but there none left.

Soon, the GOP will be the moderates.

They don’t need to heal and unify with you people. F that. You all impeached this man twice over nothing. Spent 3.5 years investigating a fake Russia hoax. Tried to pin an overblown virus 100% on him. Used said overblown virus to allow mail in cheating. Every dem can take unity and shove it.

I am holding out hope but not sure that McConnell and Graham have the intestinal fortitude.

The only hope to rid the Republican party of drumpf and his minions is for the Republican party to take care of its own. They created this monster they need to stop it.

The Q thread is looking for you.

I wouldn't hold my breath, those guys have made careers out of being feckless.

They thought they could use and discard Trump and profit from it. They didn't bargain on him hooking up with so many lunatics, and helping them to stock up the member body as well. I saw a tweet that said Republicans elected the hijackers to serve as muscle against the others in the party. And that is absolutely right. That's why no matter how much the media cries for Mitt, or Liz Cheney, or a random governor to redeem the GOP because they are pretty much beyond redemption

I don't have much of a counter argument other than I hope for this country you are wrong.

WALSH: If Trump Is Guilty Of ā€˜Incitement’ Then So Are Half The Democrats In Congress

Nancy-Pelosi.jpg

Democrats in Congress, along with a few Republicans, have officially impeached President Trump for the second time. Throughout America’s entire nearly 250-year history, Congress had only impeached a president twice. In the span of just over a year, under one president, that number has been doubled.

But the bigger issue is that the grounds for this move are dubious at best. The articles of impeachment charge Trump with, among other things, ā€œincitement of insurrection.ā€ He is accused of inciting a mob of extremists to storm the Capitol and wreak all of that havoc we witnessed last week. Trump’s defense is that he specifically told the crowd to march and protest peacefully. A quick look at a transcript of his remarks last Wednesday back him up on this score (emphasis mine):
We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections, but whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country.
In fact, Democrats have, especially recently, given us examples of what incitement sounds like when it is direct and explicit. Explicit incitement sounds like Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley encouraging more ā€œunrest in the streetsā€ while the BLM riots were raging. It sounds like a Democrat state Senator in Michigan a few weeks ago calling on ā€œsoldiersā€ to find Trump supporters and ā€œmake them pay.ā€ It sounds like Maxine Waters telling her supporters to seek out Trump administration officials, ā€œform a crowd,ā€ and let them know that they ā€œaren’t welcome anywhere.ā€ As it happens, all of these people now favor impeaching Trump for doing what they themselves are guilty of doing.

If the argument is that incitement doesn’t have to be explicit, then Democrats are all the more indicted by their own words and actions. Any Democrat who publicly romanticized BLM rioting as a fight for ā€œsocial justiceā€ has been guilty of ā€œincitementā€ at least on the same level as Trump. Same goes for any Democrat who amplified the lie that racist cops are hunting and killing people across the country. Indeed, if they are not responsible for a crowd in Minneapolis burning down a police station after they told the crowd that racist cops are out murdering black men, then Trump is not responsible for what happened on Wednesday. There is no getting around this. You cannot have it both ways.

Yes, we get it... most Republicans are stupid, and polls prove this fact.

Also shown by polls (Pew no less):

"...Though the U.S. is an overwhelmingly Christian country, significant minorities profess belief in a variety of Eastern or New Age beliefs. For instance, 24% of the public overall and 22% of Christians say they believe in reincarnation — that people will be reborn in this world again and again. And similar numbers (25% of the public overall, 23% of Christians) believe in astrology. Nearly three-in-ten Americans say they have felt in touch with someone who has already died, almost one-in-five say they have seen or been in the presence of ghosts, and 15% have consulted a fortuneteller or a psychic."

Sure there are people who believe what they believe. None of the stats you listed even touched 43%.
