Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday

That was mild. Little damage, nothing burned, only a girl shot through the neck by a rogue cop, and another cop that had a stroke. They are asking for another Timothy McVeigh type attack.
Except the cop that was beat in the head with a fire extinguisher and died and that woman that was trampled to death.

I was adamantly opposed to the "Russiagate" impeachment, because it was nonsense.

However, Trump needs to be impeached for his actions since the election, particularly fomenting an insurrection on Wednesday. And even if it can't be managed between now and inauguration, it would still be worth going thru the process so that he can be found guilty and barred from ever again running for president.

He's already took care of that himself. If he had lost like an adult and said see you in 4 years...He has been very childish and such during his 4 years, but I find it difficult to find fault with him personally on that. It's hard to stay on the high road when the assault begins before you've even had the chance to cross the welcome mat. It would have taken a greater person than many of us are to go through what he has been through and not react and retaliate unbecoming of a professional office. His nature would have never allowed that.

But, his only path back will be an attempt to run as an independent. He will not garner support to run as GOP again. I voted for him twice, but would not in 2024 if he returns. There will be better GOP available by then, and worthy of supporting. There won't be any better DNC to switch votes for. That ticket will continue to be awful, unless the lovely Hawaiian gets back in the fold and off their own blacklist.

He should just resign.
If not, Pence should pull out the 25th.
If not, impeachment it is.

If for nothing else, historical record.

That is a very reasonable thought for you. One at this point most mainstream Trump supporters would probably support. It's one thing to antagonize the folks that have tried to derail you before the welcome mat even had mud on it. And maybe in his mind he didn't intend on his rally inciting what it did. But, he should have been in tune with the extreme end of his base enough to know that some of his remarks weren't a good idea. And he should have never, ever goaded Pence at all in the matter. Pence had an obligation to fulfill, whether he agreed with it or not. And I applaud him for doing his job constitutionally. He has always been professional this whole time, and when the opportunity arose to show who he was and what the office stands for, he came through.

They are calling us terrorists and nazis. They don't want to unite and honestly I don't either. They are all for silencing us and having one party rule just like their heros in China. When I call them communists, I mean it.
If you are trying to use violence to achieve political aims, like the morons who stormed the capitol and threatened Congressmen, then you are a terrorist. Sorry.

20 or so people out of that whole group. I never recall seeing you or any other lib calling antifa/BLM terrorists.

There is a colossal difference.
All but the zombified realize that.

A very crooked pedo prez-elect. A very crooked slut VP-elect. A baby killer party. The morals and principles base for the left starts off underground.

This was a simple case of people getting riled up and given an opportunity to basically do what they want. No different than any of the 100+ riots last year. Less damage and less deaths. I lay the blame squarely on the people in charge of security at the capital.

But insurrection? Lol. An unarmed insurrection?? lol. America is full of virtue signaling mental midgets.

Yeah, this plays so beautifully right into Savannah Guthries strengths as a non-journalist.

LOL at anyone who thinks that the party that supports Donald Trump holds any sort of moral high ground over anyone else

Please hog. It's not even close.
If the last 2 months, especially the last 2 days, haven't convinced you - there's no point in me trying.
Trump is a horrendously despicable human.
The worst president ever.
He is not normal and should never be normalized.

He's done. It's over. All that's left is his walk of shame. Resignation is his best course - but that was true 3 years ago.

You see, that is a double edged sword. As a person/human, not the worst ever, but certainly no where near where one would have hoped he'd been. He's no more crooked or despicable than probably half the presidents ever. As a human he keeps company with Clinton, LBJ, Kennedy for recent comps. Trump's downfall personally as POTUS is he didn't know how to check his personality at the gate and control it. As for accomplishing good things for the American people, he's been as good as one can ask for. But, that will always be overshadowed by last week, and any reasonable person understands why.

Nope just keeping in check that those that support his counterparts think they have moral high ground. Like Luth seeing his support of the DNC as voting against Trump, we see voting for Trump as a denial of what the DNC has stood for in recent years. We revolted against being singled out for being conservative, being called racist for being conservative, not necessarily supporting Trump. Only a small percentage of this base are radical Trump supporters. We are tired of being herded up like the left has been doing now going on atleast two decades. A vote for Trump was nothing more than a vote against the left for a large number of us. Trump gave the avenue to stand up and say enough. He just didn't pan out in the end to be who he needed to be.

I've been accused of worse.

The R's I know are disgusted by what theyre seeing and blame Trump. They had a moment of clarity watching Trump setting up Pence to fail and become the scapegoat.

Pence is a good man that did his job in spite of everything else. When Trump set him up for that, it went beyond antagonizing Pelosi and Schumer.

He should create a push towards better politicians on either side of the aisle..... he is the response to the nonsense that is going on in our capital.

One of his primary missions going into the WH was to expose the hypocrisy of DC. And he did. Full on. It was never going to have a pretty ending when politicians go into self-preservation.
