What’s happening, I’ll storm Neyland like the folks at the capitol last week if Kevin Steele is anywhere near this program. He’s actively tried to jockey for a HC gig while stabbing coaches in the back. He’s not who we need in Knoxville and I hope he isn’t even in this state. He’s a snake and more importantly he’s a trash coach.

You mean the same exact thing Phil did to Majors?

@windrider Did I read at some point that you flew in the military? I could be crazy and just made that up from looking at your avatar.

Yes, Proud to say, spent almost 6 years as a Navy Pilot. (Long time ago, in the 60's) My avatar is the advanced training plane at that time, a North American T-28:)

Chadwell runs a run heavy, split backfield style built out of a variant of the triple-option at Coastal Carolina. I honestly don't see how Salter is sold on an offense that basically relies on the run with interspliced play-action.

Freeze or LANE.
His QB threw for almost 2000 and had a receiver at 1000. It’s not just spliced in. Granted 2000 isn’t a massive amount for a QB, I’m sure he can adjust his offense to SEC play.

They may have been a little after you, but any chance you knew Bill Starnes or John Strouth at ETSU?

And if you’re a tri cities guy, Glenn Harr?

They all probably came after me cause I don't recall those names but I do remember Bill Woods (Woods Piano family) from Johnson City as a Navy pilot.

It absolutely is. Have you looked into their playcall breakdown? Its something like 65% run out of the triple-option. McCall is a great thrower, something like 10th best in the FBS for throwing a catchable ball, but simply looking at numbers and saying "nOt sPLIceD iN" where they are demonstrably a run dominant, triple option offense is just dumb.

Im not saying he can't succeed here, but I am saying how do we sell these high profile offense recruits with a triple-option variant?

Great sources on a breakdown of his offense: Coastal Carolina's Two-Headed Backfield. and Galina: With Grayson McCall leading the way, Coastal Carolina's offense is putting defenses in no-win situations | College Football | PFF
