It would have me more intrigued then if he brought his CCU staff or a bunch of random names. If his offense is UK ish like I think. Then we could control the clock and win a few games.
These were their passing numbers this past year with a freshman QB it’s not like his offense will be like GT with Paul Johnson.

I went to UT, but went first two years to JUCO. I worked 30 hours a week plus full time school for 4 years. My last 6 months I worked 50 hours a week, I made Bs and Cs those final two quarters. It killed my GPA. Today, tuition is so high. I paid cash every quarter.

To give you some idea how long ago I went to college, the tuition at ETSU was $45 per quarter. We were on the quarter system, not the semester system. I was lucky enough to have a big brother that was the sports director at a local TV station and he helped me get a job as camera man there. :)

Okay, just got caught up for the day. Whew. Anyway since the discussion has moved to Chadwell and whether or not his offense would work in the SEC...I've been on this board long enough to remember us laughing at Florida, and saying Urbans offense wouldn't work in the SEC...
Don’t remember that so much. Of course back then I got my fix on govols247.

I hear what you are saying, but we have a TN guy that is our athletic director now. How is that working out. The fact is that no matter who we end up hiring (assuming JP is gone) he had better be successful, or he will be out the door too. Doesn't matter if he is a TN guy or not, and I personally would love to see a TN guy succeed and I love our team, but we are Tennessee fans and we will eat our own if they don't turn this program around.
IMO, Phil's issues as AD have very little to do with him being a "Tennessee guy". It's just Phil's ego and ability, or lack there of, that's the problem. I don't think he would be very good at that job anywhere he went.

Hubbs on that posters credibility:

Govolsgo has certainly had good information and is a good poster.

Personally, I have not heard Darnell Washington's name being the key part of this investigation. I know that there were some questions surrounding his recruitment a year ago, but I haven't heard of him being the focal point. However, let me say that they have been talking to people since November. Hard to believe it's all over one recruitment of one individual.

Chadwell is not rumored to be the hire. One guy on VQ said if he had to guess it would be Chadwell. His info on Chadwell was more his opinion than the other info he shared

Didn’t someone say that Callahan and the 247 crew are also thinking Chadwell?

Never been a big fan of Steele, but I'm not sure who else is out there that would come. Having played here, I could see Steele willing to come work under a young coach like Chadwell, but don't think it wise to force it. I'd hope Chadwell would be willing to hire veteran guys to at least run his defense, but he still needs to be wary of staff chemistry. I mean, Pruitt hired Brumbaugh without an interview and we see how that ended.

He wouldn’t and no other school would consider him for AD much less hire him.

You people are insane who think the guy hasn’t been a good AD. Every athletic program at Tennessee is better than the day it was when he took over. Fundraising has increased every year. Even in a pandemic year. Every coach up there has been given absolutely everything they need to compete for championships. His job entails more than football.
