We better hope they get the next hire right because it looks like we are getting some penalties coming which means the next coach is going to be here a while. lol

This. We've settled into this rut of re-exciting the fanbase every few years by hiring a new coach. Admin doesn't care about winning. They know they can regain interest by replacing one unproven coach with another unproven coach. They don't have to go out and get someone who has really proven himself. We're a wreck of a program. It's no wonder everyone laughs at us.

Watch TN for Big Kat Bryant, hit the portal today and with the connection to Shelton Felton and potential hire of Garner, UT would probably be the favorite landing spot as of today.

AU has another DT in the portal as well, Daquan Newkirk, 4 star JC DT.

I couldn’t find the player thread on Big Kat.

Listened to an interview, and it seems like he has a recruiting “footprint” in place to hit the ground running.

I honestly don't understand why Freeze is untouchable when Chadwell isn't. As far as I know, Chadwell wasn't calling hookers on a school phone, but he did have an impermissible benefits issue at Charleston Southern that caused them to forfeit games. The only thing I can figure is that Freeze did it at an SEC school, but I don't see why that matters?

You all know I love Chadwell so I would be very excited about the hire.

One wrinkle to this I haven’t seen discussed: if we are on some type of probation, postseason ban or scholarship reduction, that would only help endear him to our fanbase. It will very easily be sold as “Tennessee boy comes home and fixes the mess an Alabama lifer put us in.”

I’m not arguing he’s a sure thing, and I think the transition from what we’ve done on offense to what he does would be drastic and take some time, but I’d rather give that time to someone who loves this place instead of someone who sees it as a paycheck.

If Garner is coming, hopefully it would be under a new coach. Nothing is going to move the needle with Pruitt here.

Well, maybe it's kinda along the lines of the NCAA granting transfer waivers but the SEC blocks transfers within the conference.

Hire Chadwell let him bring in “his guys” (coaches) on offense then hire Steele as DC and let him run that how he wants. Let’s roll.

Really like the fact that this very well could be Chadwell’s true “dream job.” I do wonder how his staff would look. Could see him recruiting very well here with his personality. Sounds a lot like Dabo.
