I believe a lot of 247 people think it’s Gus.

Awesome. And I don't catch hell enough living in Alabama and being a Tennessee fan as it is. This would be awesome... Friggin shoot me now.

Just when I thought my apathy level couldn't reach new heights... this happens I truly may be done for a while.

He has to adapt his offense. People have caught up to it. But he would be solid if he could learn from his past mistakes. I feel confident we would never miss a bowl game with him.
Bowl games are not a goal at Tennessee. Any limp dick program can make a bowl. This is Tennessee. Folks need to start acting like it.

I keep seeing this take but even without consistent quarterback play he’s winning 8+ games in the west! I’ll take that bet and run!

I think we will win a lot with Gus. I think he knows what he needs to be successful and it’s less of a gamble. Then he can train someone up for succession planning. I would love to see us do something smart and calculated.

What in the name of all that's holy make you think any of that is true?

I don't want Gus.

Heck if I am him, I'm riding off in to the sunset with all that buyout money.
He really is as average as can be after his 1st season. He is 32-26 in the SEC after that great 1st season. He is 2-7 vs UGA, 1-7 after the 1st season. He is 2-5 in bowl games. His offenses were 25th, 79th, 49th, 25th, 48th, 28th, and 88th. He never got back to that 1st season form when they were 12th. He has lost at least 4 games every season after his 1st year. He has lost 5, 6, 5, 4, 5, 4, 4.
