Haven’t been under the same leadership for a decade. Cleaned house after the Currie fiasco and things have been moving in the right direction. Infighting goes on at every university across the country. Tennessee is no different. Be prepared for Jeremy to return, and to go 8-4 next year.
You’re a funny troll.

Let me say this. Without the fans support you got nothing. And don't even talk about leadership when there is absolutely none at this point.
The fans are always going to be there. Those in power understand this. At the same time, that rabid fanbase, in large part, is irrational. Those in power understand that as well.

I’m getting a little worried now that a faction of decision makers are angry enough at PF to make him “finish his plate” with that extension for Pruitt by hamstringing the program, resulting in an even more humiliating season, players leaving, lost recruits and then a very public firing of both later this year.
I don't believe Fulmer gave himself and Pruitt extensions without approval from someone above him.

We’re going to f around so much that we’re going to fall face forward into having to hire Freeze and it’s going to be glorious 🤞

With this investigation and who is running it, I don't think Freeze's name will be on the list of coaches to even call.

Fulmer would not make the call. I believe in order to get Freeze we have to send Fulmer packing. I’m all for that because Fulmer is part of the overall problems, investigation aside.
They probably are going to send Fulmer packing either before or after the hire imo

But wait no that can't happen!!!
I've been told by multiple folks on this board that Chadwell would not accept OC even with a double or triple of his salary because he is now a HC and that would be a demotion!!!!

(I agree with you by the way JMG)
If his program was FCS instead of a ranked FBS one that beat a salty BYU team this past season. He’ll hold course and get his opportunity.

Yall are really underestimating how few coaches will want this job when we are dangling our current one out like fish bait. There is one man in my opinion who would take this regardless of the perception of the job & thats Freeze.
Jeff Fisher just yesterday said he would love it. And even dangled the quote of his son working with Kevin Steele this year. That was an interesting comment.

This fanbase eats its own, and that’s a problem. Fans are irrational and should not be the key influence in decision making. Strong leadership overcomes this, and that’s what we have in Boyd, Plowman and Fulmer. Be prepared for Jeremy to be back next season.

Jesus, Phil.... Cut the sh!t, its getting old...

Its "fans" like you as to why we are in this situation to begin with. That strong leadership has led to bargain bin hires and less that mediocrity for 15 years because you know better, right?

Mike Hamilton gets all the hate you could imagine, but he did go outside the box and bring in Kiffin. Can't blame him for Carroll leaving USC and Lane skipping after one year. Bringing in Kiffin was an alpha move. Bringing in Dooley after a 4-8 season, Butch and Pruitt were strictly beta moves.

Different leadership, exact same tactics. Hire a bargain coach, extend before he really deserves it, get blown out almost every game, set negative records that we never wanted to set, start losing starters to the transfer portal, long time commits go to other schools. If you can't see the pattern, there's not much more I could say to convince you.

Dude just shut up. Speaking with certainty about an 8-4 season next year is ignorant.

I don’t know enough to say there have been formal interviews, but I have been told Tennessee is talking to a select handful of potential coaching candidates already.

There is a plan. It might not go as well as Texas with a hiring and firing in one day, but like I said, we are in the market.
You would think they’ve been doing this for a while but I put nothing past this administration

Besides being bad at cheating, it is irrational to bring Pruitt back for another year based on his performance.

A coach without a track record as the head guy at a prior stop can’t come back from the lowest win total over 90 years and shouldn’t have the opportunity. Layer on the inability to get along with or retain the coaches he hires and significant roster attrition, there’s not a rational or level headed argument to retain the guy.
