I now enjoy reading posts responding to those shiz posters I have ignored, while wondering why the good fans/posters are wasting their talents and time.

That's how bad things have become. It has become a new sport for me. But at least it adds an element of interest to a currently sucky orange blooded life.

You are out of time, UT. Even Auburn, Vandy and USCe got the memo to make a change. They have moved on to improve regardless of the final result. So, if this delay continues we downtrodden orange bloods will know you have reverted to form and that the option you have chosen for restoration will be another wannabe or has been. Which then reduces the odds of success infinitely. Instead, why don't you shock CFB and hire Bob Stoops or somebody else who has been to the top of the mountain, still has his hiking legs, and remembers how to make the climb?

We’re in a mess like this and 2m is being thrown out there for a new coach?!? I’m calling BS on anyone that says money isn’t an issue! It may not be, but the decision makers obviously squeak when they walk from their ass being tight as a banjo string!
2M for a coach to get us outta this mess? What an effin JOKE!

I’m getting a little worried now that a faction of decision makers are angry enough at PF to make him “finish his plate” with that extension for Pruitt by hamstringing the program, resulting in an even more humiliating season, players leaving, lost recruits and then a very public firing of both later this year.

If Donde and Randy think this is big deal, then they will not hire him. Nothing at CCU since he joined them. Personally, it looks like stuff that happens at Bama and Clemson every year that just slides by because they self report it. Which is where CSU failed - in the one man compliance office. JMO.

I agree. I think they’ll call a bunch of guys but unless they get lucky with a bigger name or do the smart thing and call Freeze, we’re going to end up with Chadwell. Which isn’t a bad thing.

They could sell that very well. He’s a local boy who just took a program that was picked to finish last in their conference, a school nobody had ever heard of, and won 11 games, ranked in top 25, and won multiple coach of the year awards.

I agree with this. It appears to be more of an institutional issue. I just wonder if UT will still be scared off by it.

I'd say 2005. After that season I would have convinced Fulmer not to hire David Cutcliffe so he could have been fired the next season. We fire him and beat Bammer to the punch and hire Saban. Man how history could have been altered!

I’m not a fan of chadwell but this ncaa issue isn’t on his shoulders at all. This should be a nonfactor

Right, but that isn’t happening. Our administration is full of politics and way too many cooks in the kitchen. We’re going to have to get lucky with a coaching hire one of these days to climb out of the hole. They’re not going to spend $10mil on some guaranteed winner and give him full authority like Saban.

We have to get lucky like we did with Barnes. I’d much rather roll the dice on a guy like Chadwell or Napier than bring in some old retread like Marrone or Fisher.
