I like RB. I like the players and culture he has. I don't even like basketball, but I will watch them. I am hopeful that they will do well in the tournament. It's nice to be hopeful about something. He is worth the money.Pretty sure Casey Alexander was in line to take over for Rick had he left for UCLA. I like Rick, and he’s a fine basketball coach. That doesn’t mean he’s worth the money he’s being paid. Three different coaches have led UT to a Sweet 16 over the past 15 years. That speaks to the kind of job this is. Lots of guys can win here.
Really dislike fans being disrespectful to players both current and former.I truly don't understand so many of you hating on Tee Martin. You can say you don't think he is what we need at head coach without being an assmunch about it. He was a leader on our last National championship team. We are much better off with having him be a part of our program than we would have been had he gone elsewhere. Some of you are morons.
Because I don't think he would do much as far as X's and O's. I think he could do the fundraising/booster stuff, a guy the fan base can get behind, create a solid culture within the team, and recruit well. Hire ELITE assistants Steele and upgrade over Chaney after this next year (Zurich, Briles, Lebby) and let them be the HC of their respective sides of the ball.we usually agree but if Tee wasn’t a good OC how is he qualified to be a HC?
This is a reasonable way to put it. Most others would prefer to melt down and deride A VFL.I have no problem with him being on staff, I just don't see him ready to be a head coach. I'm not hating on him, but just because he won a national championship here, does not make him ready to be a head coach.
Hopefully folks don’t get me wrong. I think Rick Barnes is a really good coach, and an even better person. Just don’t think he’s worth 4.7 mill.I like RB. I like the players and culture he has. I don't even like basketball, but I will watch them. I am hopeful that they will do well in the tournament. It's nice to be hopeful about something. He is worth the money.
Somewhat different circumstances but i know a guy that works at UF and he said spurrier is constantly hanging out in position group meetings and stuff.
Actually Pugh was hired..... Then let go I believe.Pruitt is not allowed to offer any contracts so that is pointless. The two guys he wanted to hire Pugh and Davis are employed else where.
Fulmer watching film with coaches is not a big deal at all. Owners and other ADs do it all the time. It’s really just a chance to connect without taking your coaches away from their jobs.
Tennessee Athletics is like that uncle that everyone knows has enough money to buy a quality vehicle, but he insists on getting 300,000 miles out a car before he lets go of it. Duck tape... coat hangers... whatever it takes to keep her rolling a few miles down the road
