Somewhat different circumstances but i know a guy that works at UF and he said spurrier is constantly hanging out in position group meetings and stuff.

He’s knocking down 4.7 mill a year. Good for fourth highest in the country. He is not the fourth best coach in the country. Not sure he’s even top ten.

My fantasy is that they are actually competent, and are using the investigation as cover for the leg work of the hire. I will continue to cling to the fantasy until the reality hits me in the crotch. So far, so good.

I think you choosing the word “fantasy” is a excellent evaluation of the situation.

As a former coach he probably just enjoys the experience. If he doesn’t inject himself in the game plans I don’t see a problem with it.

Edit: Didn’t people state that Fulmer would be perfect to guide and help Pruitt early since it was his first HC job. Now all you hear about Fulmer is he shouldn’t be meddling in Pruitt’s management of the program.

We have money. We always have money. It’s never truly an issue unless all of our boosters and their immediate families died on the same plane all at once.

Tennessee Athletics is like that uncle that everyone knows has enough money to buy a quality vehicle, but he insists on getting 300,000 miles out a car before he lets go of it. Duck tape... coat hangers... whatever it takes to keep her rolling a few miles down the road

That’s ridiculous. No way they’re letting Tee be the interim coach. Phil will be running through that T as the interim before Tee would.

Never been a real OC, so plan is to promote a position coach to HC.
Will never believe that until at least 6 months after it happens

I like Rick a lot. But he isn’t worth the money he’s being paid. Could see him getting bounced early in the tournament again this year.

Ya’ll act like you’re the ones funding this mans pockets. We’re a top 10 program right now. I can promise you whoever Fulmer would have replaced him with wouldn’t have us in the position we’re in right now.
