Had the same thought. And even get a few transfers ourselves in the meantime

Depends on their mindset. I'm not sure of how Arkansas plays. Are they reliant on the three? That's really what hurt the Vols on the defensive end - couldn't guard the three ball. ALso, I think they'll shoot better. I think that was an anomaly the other night. Also, I think the mental aspect comes into play. This could go either way. Either their confidence is shaken and it shows in their game or they are angry and learn that they can't just show up. WIth Barnes as their coach I expect the latter.

That's a fair comparison except for the extent. The situation around the football program at Tennessee is so much more toxic that we can't get the talent level of a Barnes type football hire to consider this job. IMO we can't get that type of guy here without a few years of stability at the very least. And by stability I mean a coach managing a somewhat intact staff in a competent manner for a few years. JMO!

Would be the absolute death nail in this program. I cannot believe you all think hiring Douglas Marrone would be an improvement to this football team.

WHY HE SUCKS
Had a winning record twice in four years at Syracuse when they were still the Big East. 25-25 overall & a .388 winning percentage in the NFL.
As an NFL HC he had a winning record twice from 2013 to 2020. Think VN would be cool with another slow rebuild?
From 2013 to 2020 his offenses have ranked in the NFL (out of 32) - 19th, 26th, 18th, 23rd, 6th, 27th, 20th, and 28th.
From 2015 to 2020 his bread & butter, the offensive line, has ranked in the NFL (out of 32) - 19th, 22nd, 15th, 22nd, 26th, and 24th.

The average person takes about 150 bites a day. That's over 50,000 a year. So, why once a year do you suddenly bite your lip? Yet you can get it right the other 49,999 times. It hurts like crap and I just don't get why it happens. Maybe I need more memory muscle and reps. Or at least more mental reps.

I have to disagree. Shoot we could have gone 2-for-2 and hired Mack and been restored like UNC has.

We are just afraid to take the shot. We were fine to cycle bball coaches until we hit. Football...we need a 10 year rebuild. My a$$!
