I recently saw an old hand drawn map that showed the post office over near the railroad track many, many years ago. There used to be a train depot over there.
Wow that was a long time ago. I'd like to see that picture. If you can post it, please @me on it.

I know it’s not popular around here, but I like Marrone. He did a good job at Syracuse and did well at Jacksonville before they started trading everyone off. He had the Jaguars one game away from the Super Bowl.

It seems more popular here than expected. Sure there are a few against it but many of us like the thought of him

For what it's worth, if we can't or won't go after Herman/Freeze,Gus, then I'd rather have a Chadwell/Napier that is younger and has a lot of upside/fire/relatable to players than a Marrone... I just can't see that guy recruiting worth a flip and that is one of the most important parts of being a HC at UT right now.

Hundreds of pages I haven't read, so I don't know what all has cycled through. But things took a turn with outside counsel and it has become adversarial. Many P5 schools retain Glazier and the investigation proceeds without the rancor UT has unleashed. Creating this level of turmoil and toxicity isn't a good look and it isn't good for the program or the university.

for you morons like me...

I would be mad then curious then mildly optimistic then excited. I do that with most every hire.
Marrone would definitely be a meh hire to many in the fan base but could be very similar to Herm at ASU. I was extremely skeptical of that hire at 1st but then I saw his coaching staff. Guys with years and years of NFL experience. I knew he would have a well coached roster. Now granted the SEC is much different then the PAC 12 and Marrone would have to prioritize recruiting but I believe he would do that.

How hard do you think this will be to overcome?

I think most of us want a firecracker that will excite the fan base and spark recruiting. However, a stabilizer might be more effective, I will admit. As long as they can recruit.

Why in the hell would any coach wanna work at UT?

FL did an entire investigation and nobody knew a damn thing until they announced their findings.

Yet we have this circus.

The fact they are allowing this thing to linger and fester like an open wound lets me know they are still incompetent for one, but also like we've said over and over, they don't care for Pruitt personally and have no problem letting him squirm.

You can't come back from this. It's ugly. Someone compared it to LSU with Les Miles and I think that fits.

We're gonna suck forever. I'll never see UT football be good again. That makes me really sad. Florida, UGA, and Bama will continue to be at the top, and we'll accept hopefully beating Kentucky and Vandy.

If only we could be so fortunate. LSU won a national title 4 years after they fired Les.
