I will admit our homerism can’t fathom why a kid wouldn’t pick the all mighty UT Vols just because, but we’ve seen guys that we just absolutely knew we’re going to be Vols go to schools like OSU, Clemson, Bama etc all because of the coach. A bunch of these kids and parents that Pruitt recruited bought into the vision that he is selling and we’re seeing it play out in public now. It absolutely sucks that we have an administration thats just incompetent and guys that are VFL just turn on their whole program because they don’t like the guy.

We have our homerism, but if you’re an elite HS player it’s a business decision. It sucks as a fan, but I totally get why someone like Tee Higgins for example went to Clemson. Especially since he’s a WR.

We love the program, but we’re fans. We don’t hang around the HC and his staff everyday. We also don’t have millions to lose if the coaching staff is bad at developing. We’re outsiders who like Rocky Top, the checkerboards, and going to games and watching them play on Saturday.

If these kids think they won’t like the coach, then they should go somewhere else for their own good.

Think about it this way...say it was your dream to work somewhere after college. You interview or intern there and hate what you saw...didn’t mesh with people you talked to, people seemed uninterested in you, didn’t stack up well against other places you interviewed, etc. Would you still work there?

Yup, agree here. Its hard for us fans but I can't really fault players for looking elsewhere. I hate the shape this program is in.

Almost every coach is loved by their players until they're fired. If Pruitt really is the jackwad he's been made out to be by everyone then he may not be as beloved by players as we think. As for Bailey's dad... I can remember Jason Croom's mom being very supportive of Dooley and saying similar things. Dooley was the face of the program (the person behind the brand name) and she was comfortable with him just as Bailey's dad is comfortable with Pruitt. I wouldn't read too much into things.

Also this insider bit makes no sense. If we're not talking about Tee dropping a dime to Wallace but instead who tripped the investigation to begin with things don't compute. Those who'd know enough to get an internal investigation started likely don't benefit from the investigation. Brumbaugh is the only one that would make sense but the coaching profession is so tight that anyone that inside doing this seems to be asking for future trouble. Unless our resident insiders are a bit freer with info. I'd take this part of things with a grain of salt. They hear rumors too.
