It’s the off season, a time for flights of fancy, delusional what ifs.

What if Phil Fulmer has an epiphany and directs UT athletics with enlightened sagacity. What if the football coaches gel, CJP grows into a wiley HC, and the Vols develop into a formidable team who can win on any given Saturday. What if the program gains momentum. What if 2021 is the beginning of something good.

Ah, the Blow games... Um, er, Bowl games of 2020/21.

12/21: Myrtle Beach Bowl - App State doubles North Texas (remember North Texas?), 56 to 28, a 4 TD margin of victory. What a way to get started.

12/22: Idaho Potato Bowl - Relatively, a more competitive game. Nevada's margin of victory over Tulane was only 11 points, 38 to 27.

12/23: Boca Raton Bowl - BYU's margin of victory (26) is more than UCF scored (23).

12/23: N.O. Bowl - Why? Gah Southern paves Louisiana Tech, 38 to 3. Five TD margin. Really? [Wait for it]

Montgomery Bowl, New Mexico Bowl, Camellia Bowl... La la la la la

12/26: First Responder Bowl - We got a football game. UL defeats UTSA by a single TD, 31 to 24.
12/26: LendingTree Bowl - meh [GSU, mutter mutter]
12/26: Cure Bowl - Now, THIS was a game! BYU eeks out a win over Coastal Carolina 37 to 34 in OT.

12/29: Cheez-It Bowl - Respectable. OK State 37, Miami 34.
12/29: Valero Bowl - Texas (fires their coach) blows out Colorado, 55 to 23, a 32-point margin of victory.

12/30: Duke's Mayo Bowl - Cheese defeats white bread. Yeah, yeah, move along.
12/30: Cotton Bowl - Oklahoma humiliates Florida [You waited for it], 55 to 20, a 5 TD margin of victory.

12/31: Armed Forces Bowl - Not pretty, but competitive. Miss State defeats Tulsa, 28 to 26.
It's reported that they played the Arizona Bowl. Don't care. Sorry, but that's honest.
12/31: Liberty Bowl - Completed within its allotted time. WVA downs Army, 24 to 21.

NYD: Peach Bowl - Jawja escapes Cinci in the final seconds, 24 to 21.
NYD: Citrus Bowl - Nerds from Illinois embarrass Auburn, 35 to 19.
NYD: Arlington Rose Bowl - Fawk Bama. ND sucks tailpipes.
NYD: Sugar Bowl - Et tu, Buckeyes? Clemson suffers bad juju, gets whooped on the gridiron.

Jan. 2: Yep. They play football on Saturday. Kentucky slips by NCSU 23-21, The Lame Kiffins outscore Indiana 26-20, Iowa State doubles Phil Knight Unis 34-17, and TAMU whoops UNC 41-27.

The SEC? Other than Florida's epic suck and Auburn laying down for the Nerds, teams held up their end.

Oh, and that game to be played on Jan. 11th? I take the fifth.

Edit: It was called something like "Well, Coach Pruitt." I don't see it there now, so it probably got merged or something. ???

That thread title started with "Well well..." I'd say it got merged into the Official Fired thread or got sent to the dung heap of history.
