Agreed. Admin is a sh!tshow. Personally I think they made some overtures to some top coaches through back channels and were told no. They are sparing us the national embarrassment this time.

I think they may have with a few white whales, but im not sure I think they have with any "realistic" guys.

On Basilio’s post game show after the A&M game he said that Pruitt had really pissed off some of the academic people at the university and that those people had been very vocal to Plowman about it. It’s not something that Pruitt should have to deal with or worry about, but I’ll be happy if it helps get him fired.

Will you be happy when it continues to plague and hinder the next guy and the next guy and the next guy? It is a problem, and it needs to go away if we want to compete at the highest level...

It is like a lot of you guys don't even think of the consequences of this crap...you would really cut off your nose to spite your face...it is insanity.

Well, I’ll hazard a guess in that someone might be dog$hit at selling the academic support and opportunities to parents and recruits, or just straight up told recruits “if you’re interested in <insert future career after football>, we don’t really do that. You should look at <insert hated rival>.”

That being said, I’d like to think the AD would nip any egghead stupidity like that in the bud.

You don't become HC in the pros being a terrible coach. Saban got fired also in the the NFL. Not defending the guy I don't know anything about him just not sure why some think he would be terrible coaching in College.

You can most certainly be a terrible coach in the pros.... they hire retreads all the time..... I would hire Steele before Gase and Steele is at the bottom of my list.

You’re talking 5-6 new coaches. No way they let him do this. Surely.

I tend to think the same but we have done plenty of things in our recent history that I would never have believed we would ever do. We are so broken right now.

Only three coaches are on expiring deals this year.

Most of the other assistants deals expire next year.

Meaning if we made a coaching change this year, we’d have to buy out significantly more contracts.

Not advocating for keeping Pruitt - but I just don’t see him being replaced. Haven’t all off-season. Hes your coach in 2021.
