Lost one of my buddies tonight, this was Chance the rooster. He came to me as a rescue from a fair giveaway. He was always abnormally large for a chicken, more the size of a turkey which likely explains his health problems.

For the past year and a half I have doctored him, performed surgery on him multiple times to remove staff infections from his feet. He's always moved slow and had problems getting around but would get better. A week ago we noticed he wasn't moving around much so we brought him in and found there was nothing we could do but make him comfortable. Tonight he gave up the fight.

He was just a chicken but he was a really cool guy with personality. He'll be missed around the the farm.
