Top 3 is a subjective judgment. He trailed behind those guys in some stats, was better than them in some other ones. I just think that the stats combined with having watched all those guys played would put him outside the top 3.

And yes, Dobbs got better the longer he stayed here but didn't develop like he could have. Do you think Dobbs reached his potential at UT?

Same old same old.

Same old same old is the answer. We are just tired, exhausted. No energy, no direction, the situation just doesn't inspire any confidence or hope for the future.

I'm sure we're not different than you guys though, I can say "if I was a booster I won't give another cent...." In reality it's the same as saying I'm done as a fan. But I'm not, I come back, week to week, year to year. But we're just tired and want football to be fun again.

Which mags, and BCG are you using?

I bought some generic mags from Classic Arms I believe. The BCG I'll have to look up. It's been running like a champ using cheap, steel case, russian ammo. Wolf or Red Army I believe.

It's going to cost more to keep him than to fire him. Wait and see. He'll be out by mid season next year. Maybe not officially but it'll be a forgone conclusion. We'll have new assistants to buy out, attendance will be laughable. The roster will look like Vandy in our game this year. No coach worth his weight in fruit-of-the-looms will want to come here.

This is exactly why it is beyond stupid keeping him. For a bunch of smart people, they sure do make a lot of dumb decisions.

It’s not subjective. I have stats aka facts to back up my opinion. You have nothing more than an opinion and the only thing you brought up to back up your argument was was .1 YA behind Kelly and .3 YA behind Allen so he wasn’t a good down field passer. Which again doesn’t determine downfield passing, Tennessee threw a lot of short passes. One of Debord’s biggest problems was calling plays with the primary read running his route short of the First down

The guys that he was behind I don't think were particularly great downfield throwers either.

When they said this is a 5 year rebuild they meant it would take that long to get the staff built right. Then they can worry about the team and games.

Of course Freeze would be easier to hire a year from now. That's the whole point of getting him now before his stock goes higher. Don't be surprised when somebody else hires him before us, possibly this offseason and benefits while we continue trying to dodge bad press unsuccessfully.

I'm not going anywhere as a fan though. I mean where would I go? Go Vols forever.

I will say, when we are good again someday (and it will come back around), all of us will appreciate it because we'll remember what the rock bottom tasted like.

I bought a couple lowers from Palmetto State Armory not long ago. Great lowers for the price. They’ve gone up recently though. I’ve gotten uppers from AR15part.com. Solid uppers. Both of the ones I got I added nickel boron BCG. Built a couple really good ARs that weren’t overly pricey this way. One .204 ruger for varmints and one .223/556
