I guess you didn't read the article. Simms was an early enrollee. Fulton and Palardy were already committed. So, what is true is that 6 of the top 11 in the class (not including Fulton and Palardy) were already enrolled.

Just Bc a player didn’t decommit during a change doesn’t mean he’s fully in. You have to get them to commit to you too. Agree to disagree. Doesn’t matter. 3-7

AP and Hubbs have been saying a lot of recruits are reading the board and that fan response is hurting the recruiting. I wouldn't typically care, but if this staff is coming back, we need to land that in state class next year. It is loaded and could change the direction of the program.
Have the recruits seen the product that Pruitt is putting out on the field?

Thank goodness for CRB and the BB Vols. If Jeremy is back my selective amnesia about all things football will get me through the winter.

You make a great argument and i actually can see where youre coming From. Dobbs was the same player all 4 years. He never developed or had any help along the way. Pretty sure he called plays too.
I know you're being sarcastic, but you're actually right. Dobbs didn't develop much at all during his 4 years here. He never became a proficient downfield passer, and despite his great running ability he never excelled at the read option game or designed QB runs. Dobbs was most successful at the parts of his game that can't be taught/coached, which isn't a coincidence.

The success Butch had at Tennessee was created in large part by Dobbs's improvised scrambling ability, particularly on 3rd down plays. Butch deserves credit for signing Dobbs, but that's about it.

Despite what people may think of him. I’m just in disbelief that Fulmer would hitch his wagon to Pruitt.

We’re really going to do Derek Dooley 2012 all over again? Even down to replacing 75-80% of the staff, and cost ourselves more money to fire replace the staff next year.

Fun times.
What other choice does Fulmer have?

Phil was brought in under an emergency circumstance to immediately hire a football coach, and he chose Pruitt. Those two were always going to be attached at the hip from day one.

Dobbs was one of the best downfield passers in the SEC his sr year...

I see we're in the "Discredit all the insiders" phase of the potential coaching search. (I'm not one, for the record).

Y'all can say what you want about AV's "insider" status. I'll just sit back and smile.

I've seen the proof. I shook hands with it. I've hung out with it.

However, I COMPLETELY understand the level of skepticism. Until I met AV in person last year, I was still a little skeptical myself. I was VERY concerned I wouldn't like him, he'd be a little creepy, or worse...

The dude is one of the guys. He's just a down to earth, good guy. I like him. We text from time to time. And If I EVER MOVE INTO MY HOUSE (I've been building for 84 years it seems), I'll invite him to the little shindig we throw to celebrate, @volatil too...So long as they don't mind hanging out with a bunch of cops 😂😂😂.

Point is, AV is good people. He also happens to rub elbows with orange blooded royalty. Choose to believe it or not, doesn't matter. But I'll believe what he tells me until he gives me a reason not to...but I doubt that happens.
Thanks for the invite. I'll bring a cheese tray and potato chips. And beer but in my cooler. And it's mine.

The reality that UTAD and most of the boosters dumbasses? Hell, we've known that for a while now.

Only thing the fans can do is to stop buying tickets and merch, but I'm not sure they're even smart enough to figure that out...

So why the angst today? Nothing happened. Nothing was set to happen. Same old same old.

If they keep him then honestly the best case scenario CJP wins 8 games next year, brings in a top ten to fifteen class and gets kicked to the curb the following year for a proven winner. It’s excruciating to keep waiting but programs rarely go from bad to great. You want to hand the next coach a solid roster and a winning record so that they only need to go from good to great. We want to be in Auburn or Georgia’s position going into a coaching search not what we have handed coaches over the last decade+. In that scenario I would actually be more optimistic about the future than if we cut ties now (barring a freeze hire). Of course, if CJP sucks again next year then you have to move on and the roster will only be marginally better than it was in 2017. So quite the bet from PF.

Or seeing and hearing all the criticism on tv and in print?
If volnation post are causing them to go somewhere else then way to go volnation!

If I had a son, nephew or just close to a 4-5!* recruit that could go to any SEC team you think I’d advise them to go to UT?
Why would I? So he could look back on his college career and say “hey we won 6 or 7 games every year. Nope 👎
