That's not a full blown statement of support lol. That's AD speak. There needs to be a statement put out and explain why he's the man for the job.

Wait, so Gump has been pretty much a complete failure the past three years, things are looking even worse for next season with low end recruiting and kids leaving/transferring, but all he had to do is tell them he has a "plan" for next season and they bought it?????????

If I was in the room I would simply ask, "okay, so this plan you are talking about, why are you just now coming up with it/implementing it and why wasn't this the plan from day one? Please explain in detail how we got to 3-7 in three seasons with you as the leader and why you think things will magically change next season?''

I mean, my lord this is some insane 'ish..... Wow, no smart ass, I am truly floored... What a bunch of lazy, pathetic people we have making decisions about our football program! Can't WAIT to see what they do next season when it's year 4 of the exact same thing or worse. F'n idiots...

When @MetalVolunteer and @Atlanta VOL and @ob79 were all exclaiming a week or so ago that we were finally getting serious about winning and “swinging for the fences”...

What was that about?

We’re gonna hire some truly mercenary assistant coaches to come in for a year till the program crumbles even more and then we have to make an 11th hour desperation hire at this point next year after a miserable season and recruiting tanks?

Sweet.

Count me out on that. I’ve been through that cycle too much the last dozen years.

You mean Dooley, or Butch?

Butch, for all his faults, was a pretty good in-state recruiter. The big in-state kids he missed on were once the program started to fall apart; early in his tenure he got a ton of in-state kids. Dooley was terrible at it and I thought it was him that allegedly pissed a bunch of Tennessee HS coaches off.

If we get that lucky. Depending on which ones he can talk into staying will probably tell the new guys how miserable it is to work there

If Pruitt is really back, Fulmer needs to tell him he can have no say whatsoever regarding the offense & fire Weinke. Give Chaney or whoever control. Let’s see who is really at fault for the offensive woes.

Omg. The floor, the ceiling, the expectations, the resources, the budgets, etc. Are not the same at the programs. All rebuilds are not equal. Those years for Mullen gets him job security. You do that at any blue blood program and you’re on the hot seat. What do you not understand?

Also, if you go back to my original post about the rebuilding comment you will clearly see I said rebuilds do not take 4-5 years ESPECIALLY at established programs. And you have yet to give any examples of the contrary. Your view of what a rebuild is, is skewed

Agree here. I will be an Ole Miss fan next year if Gump is back. I could care less who he hires good DC not a head coach. Will not settle for mediocrity Let’s hope we hear we are looking for new Head Coach and he doesn’t return

We are gonna spend big money on assistant coaches so the buy out will be worse next year. This is what is about to happen.

Maybe that was the case then. I just know it was posted somewhere that he allegedly wasn’t liked at a number or High schools in the area.

Won’t make any difference. There #1 recruit for next season is picking between us, Clemson, and Bama. Nolen a T3 player in the country is in our backyard and we’re going to miss. Shoot me now.
