Look if they're keeping him then they're keeping him. I'm worried about the quality assistants your going to pull in knowing how hot the seat is. Sure he needs to get the right guys and let them do their jobs. Worked for LSU last year but can you get the right guys in this environment? I have my doubts.

Reading Bob's report from 24/7 (if true----I know, that's a big if on a message board) and my own coming to grips that CJP will be back. It sounds like he's being given a mandate to change things that sounds like somewhat competent requirements. (1) to focus on being the HC and delegate coaching to his staf; (2) make changes in the staff; (3) focus on in-state recruiting; (4) repair broken relationships; and (5) work on transfers.

Again, if there is any bit of truth to this (who knows) then it sounds like there is actually an adult in the room over there. I don't understand why a man in Pruitt's position making the coin he is making has to be sat down and told to do these things in the first place, but its sounds like its the last straw.

If you have to tell him how to do things then he probably isn't the person you need running a multi million $$$$$ football program

It seems wild to me that a head coach can sell that he is going to delegate and actually be a head coach going into year 4 and the decision makers think this is going to work.

And waiting until year 4 to prioritize in state recruiting

Easy for me. Haven’t been to a game in years. Can’t bring myself to spend that kinda money for a sub par product. Made that decision back in 2015.

I actually never said that. I was just responding to your "going 9-4 at MSU is like going to the playoffs" comment. I was just chiming in about his fluffed records, which I discussed when he was leaving MSU. I looked through every single season at MSU. Not all records are created equal, and there was context to his "rebuild."

Croom had actually made some progress the prior two years by being competitive in bigger games.

Point was before Mullen they were losing those same games that “fluffed his record”. 2007 was an anomaly for MSU

If gave them a outlined plan past next season we aren’t getting anything new for awhile. Sounds like Fulmer set the hook and Pruitt yanked every one of em like dumb bass.
