JT Shrout heading to Colorado

I've always been a behind the scenes Colorado fan when they didn't play us like in 90. Hope he does well.

Maybe... if we have to live with Pruitt another year... and if he doesn't miraculously become a good coach and program leader... maybe we will meet Colorado in a bowl and Shrout will hang 600yds passing on us. If that's where we end up, that would be the medicine that we need.

oh... that would require us going bowling next year. hahahahahahaaa
I really don’t get why so many people on this message board have fantasies about Tennessee getting beat, or lit up by other teams. This is great example of the “legions of the miserables” mindset that Johnny Majors talked about. If you hope Tennessee is going to lose or get lit up, why do you waste your time on a Tennessee football message board?

That will probably be a good spot for him. I hate that we lost him. But I am not going to criticize JT for pulling the ripcord after the way QBs have been handled the last two years. I hope he tears it up out west.

Haahahahahaa.... it is a desire for a wake up call - a desire for a change. It is a desire for what seems obvious to me (us) to be made obvious to those whose head is buried in the sand.

We're 3 and 7... and the 7 were HORRIBLE losses. Our only convincing win was to a zero win team that was... decimated with opt-outs and COVID tracing. hahaha... I mean - High-School level.

We have no cohesive team direction. We have zero evidence that the program has what it takes to improve next year.

If you are not miserable thinking about that, why are you wasting your time on a Tennessee football message board?

;) now that the gruel you slung has been thrown back in your direction. You can keep it. I do hope you and yours have a great new years, and I hope that the Vol football program becomes something worth spending time and money on in the future. GBO!

- and best of luck JT!

I wish Shrout the best of luck. He's improved immensely since he first came to Tennessee in 2018 and hope he gets a shot at starting the next few years in Colorado (he's still got 3 years of eligibility left!). He's a stand-up guy and has an absolute cannon of an arm. Would love to see him in the NFL one day.

He should have been named the starter back in the spring with the plan to work Bailey in as the season went along. I think we'd have been significantly better if he'd gotten all the 1st team reps.

Also, he strikes me as a guy Chaney could work wonders with....if he was our starter.....and if Chaney coached QBs

I expect he will have as many interceptions as touchdowns if he even gets on the field there. Y’all are making him out to be way better than he really is. Regardles, good luck, JT.

I expected it tbh. I don’t think it’s any secret how the qbs have been held back and why.
No doubt the QBs were held back.
The why remains a secret we can all speculate with our own theories.
Most likely we will never know the truth.

I wish him all the best. In the limited amount of playing time he had this year, he looked like he should have been starting over JG all season.
