My shot in the dark is that Hugh wanted to coach the bowl game and we wanted to get through signing day, all the while getting our guy locked up before publicly making a move. Pruitt is fired next week and Hugh is announced shortly thereafter.

I just can’t. He is nothing like bitch. Butch inherited a successful program from Kelly. Frost is at a successful program but he is a good coach. Nebraska is just not a good program anymore. Iowa State had never made the Big 12 championship and was a garbage program before him. He is one of the best coaches in all of college football.

Napier and Chadwell are nice candidates but the answer has always been Freeze I understand why he wouldn’t be hired but he’s the best possible hire (that is realistic) and it’s not close IMO.

I kind of feel Freeze does too. I think all three being mentioned today would. I don't think any of them are a guaranteed home run hire.

Like making it through a cycle without the dumpster fire ending.
