Dunno why people want a coach that Pruitt beat with one of our worst teams....Can some one sell me on Gus? I know he went to the natty in 2013, but every other year he has had at least 4 losses. Obviously better than CJP, but this doesn’t excite me at all as a fan.
Is FAU considered G5 or P5?The thing with Kiffin is, it's just kind of an unknown tbh. One year at UT he won some games, put beatdowns on UGA and South Carolina. Should of beat Bama if he had a FG kicker worth a damn. But he also loss some complete head scratchers against UCLA and Ole Miss. Hell even that Auburn game was very underwhelming.
He kind of sucked at USC to be blunt, but he did have scholarship reductions nearly his whole time there.
FAU, rough year, then good year.
Ole Miss, offense really shined. It'll be interesting to see if he can get a DC to get that improved.
That Ole Miss defense is awesome. If you think a joke about his belt size is the only evidence he is a changed coach compared to his early years (2009 / Tennessee year), don't know what to tell you.
After Schiano got the boot, he was easily the best hire that could have been made if the links of him wanting Steele to team up with him to come to Tennessee was true.
I guess you won't mind getting lit up by him and Ole Miss next year because deep down, you know he's not a good coach?
Ole Miss is a defense away from winning a lot of games.....Tennessee is a better job than Ole Miss. And I don't give a rat's a$$ if he did to Ole Miss what he did to use when his Dream Job came calling.
It sucks to be on the crap end of that whole thing, but if we got Kiffin after one year at Ole Miss, I would be so happy. He's not going to win big at Ole Miss. He may win over the historical averages but Ole Miss is never going to be a perennial contender. Not saying Tennessee is either, but we one coach away from being one and have the infrastructure (facilities, boosters, recruiting pipeline) to have sustained success.
Controversy is baked into the cake of college football. No system will make any sense because this is a regional sport, not national. Just 23 years ago, Alabama is already been claimed champ. And that’s probably not wrong. Cincy, UCF, Coastal Carolina, etc....
nobody cares about those schools.
