He’s underachieving with what resources Texas has.

Texas is actually a really hard place to win at despite what people think about those resources. With great resources come overreaching billionaire donors

Herbstreit alluded to it being like playing for 8 Jerry Jones. Well I'll give you a reference that may hit closer to home, it's a lot like playing for 8 Haslams

Texas boosters meddle more than any other school. Texas is apparently oddly cheap, apparently still use a bubble as their indoor facility. Our facilities rival any. If a coach can win 8-9 games here then it is an upgrade.

I know but I think it’s easy to assume the wrong idea about that picture NOW. I wasn’t going to comment on the subject but thought I should at least clear that up before it’s taken out of context.

Appears that possibly Butch Jones may have done some illegal thinks with QB JG and it is possible that there are illegal things under the staff of Pruitt. If there are both maybe UT could sue Butch Jones and recover a few million and possibly be able to fire Coach Pruitt with cause which would be some very minor costs. I would hope the NCAA would rule on Butch Jones and prevent him from coaching for a long period.

All of what you said may or may not be true but the Texas donors have nothing to do with Herman’s underachieving. Texas should be better particularly on defense.

If Pruitt is fired with cause there are also going to be repercussions for the program, I would think. I hope whatever happened doesn’t go that far. I’d rather just pay him the money. We can’t survive scholarship reductions, etc.

People here talkin' casually about throwing millions at people, as if Bezos, Zuckerberg, and Gates were VFLs.

Reality check:
1) How much money did the UT athletic dept lose this year?
2) Does anyone know when (or IF) college athletics will return to its profitable old ways?
3) The global economic picture has never been less stable than it is today, with big talk of a massive reset. Tennesseans with big money have no idea what their worth might be 5 years from now.

We've gone big, we've gone mid-, and we've gone asst---and not found the success that was built over two decades under two VFLs who loved Tennessee: Majors and Fulmer.

It's time to stop acting like Wiley E. Coyote thumbing through the ACME coaches catalog, and just start working like heck with people who LOVE this school, love this state, and love the fans.

Lol yeah you never heard of the story about Chris Simms and Major Applewhite. Texas donors surprisingly somehow have a lot of influence on field decisions too

What do Texas donors have to do with the athletes Herman has brought to Austin? Not arguing about what goes on behind the scenes only players and game day coaching.

Since Wes believe's it's someone within the University, could it Brumbaugh since he was let go and probably still bitter? Would be puzzling why he waited so late to report it though. Also, there have been reports the last few weeks of internal coaches not getting along and I wonder which coaches were upset or wanted out? Could be a good starting place to investigate but could possibly ruin their career if/when other schools find out.
Also, any ATLVOL drive-by to give an insight to what is going on?

No they were both on the team when it happened. Major applewhite was starting (and was actually doing really well and even the fans liked applewhite more) but the donors wanted Chris Simms to start so guess who got the nod.
