I have no illusions about the level of prick Pruitt personifies. What, we vacate a nearly winless season and miss out on the Scrubbing Bubbles Bowl?

It’s no secret that Pruitt is disliked by highly influential people within the BOT and booster communities, and it reminds me of Dooley’s brazen arrogance when he bailed on an appearance with Anderson (if memory serves, but might’ve been Thunder) and nearly cost a 7-figure donation.

I understand what you are saying. I think we just have a difference in opinion on what Tennessee needs as a coach. I would not group Matt Campbell in with Pat Fitzgerald and Chadwell though.

Northwestern is a solid program in a awful division in football. They are never going to be great, but they will show up and play hard more times than not. Northwestern is a type of team that will win 9 games but get blown out whenever they have to play a team with atheletes. They don't do anything special but are fundementally sound.

Step 2 Call Freeze/agent, extend contract with clauses if Freeze has NCAA issues again. If Freeze accepts, hire him, if he balks at it, go to step 3.
Step 3 (if needed) Hire a competent, sitting head coach who understands the modern college football game and the necessity of scoring points.

Anybody at Dools' level of arrogance and disrespect needs to be escorted by security from the premises immediately. I have met and dealt with many people who had that air about them during my business career, but Dools was at an elite level. Seems UT may have looked past Jeremy's many miscues in the past to take a chance on him. Fail.
