Official Christmas Christmas Zone Thread

My parents neighborhood have been giving away Christmas awards since I was a little kid. It's first place, second place, kids award, and door award. The judges come from another neighborhoods garden club, and they always go for the minimalist houses - like the ones that put the candles in the window and thats it. So my mom never wins..until this year! 👏

I like Walmart jeans. I've had some that's lasted forever.
You are spot on with that. Those Faded Glory brand jeans wear very well. They are comfortable. The only thing a lot of people don't like is there aren't stitches on the back pocket or rivets. I mean they're the plainest of the plain, but who cares? I'd say the ones I have now I've probably worn for 5-6 years and got them for about $15 a pair.

The khakis I like the best are from Sears, and I got a bunch of those a while back for like $8 a pair. I think the name on there is David Taylor brand. ??? They're durable, too.

Yeah I was going to order pants from Walmart and it was free 2day shipping it had arrival date for the 26th?
Hey rocy, we ordered something from WM when another gift fell through. We ordered it Monday or Tuesday, and it said arrival date the 24th. It got here yesterday.
It might just be they're putting that date out there as a possibility in case there are shipping backups???

You didn't expect it?
kind of ,but the regional stuff is what Im confused about -- like a package from Michigan came in 4 days and one from Indiana is 2 weeks late and counting -- the one in LA still hasnt even been scanned after 5 days -- Im blaming it mostly on that Postmaster General that was making all those cuts over the Summer -- UPS and FedEx seem to be doing a good job at least in my area

I just don't see how people are shocked (not saying you are) considering the times we're in. We've been telling customers for MONTHS to expect delays because we can't predict staffing with our shippers given the virus protocols. Add the holidays which are always crazy, and the weather, and I just don't know how a reasonable person thinks it's gonna be business as usual.

I ordered stuff for the grandkids last week. Most of it got here yesterday and today. It was stuff they asked for at the last minute that I didn't know where to get, so I ordered it. Fortunate.

I'm not mad about it, but I am surprised at how long it is taking, I'm at a month waiting for one shipment. Like Mikey said, I've had no delays with FedEx and only one delay with UPS.

My scans are definitely bizarre...

Item 1: Shipped in November. It did not track for awhile, then it sat in Atlanta for about a week...now where is it sitting??? Memphis!!! Why are you going west to come back east?
Item 2: Shipped in early December. Took awhile to track but has been at another Charlotte post office for about a week. Still has to come to my Charlotte post office first.
Item 3: Shipped in early December. Arrived at my Charlotte post office yesterday and was delivered today!
Item 4 &5: Shipped in early December - in transit since then, so no idea where they even are right now.
