Is the NCAA going to bring down the hammer

We self-reported. Compliance immediately opened an internal investigation. We brought in legal and have been very thorough. We've been proactive, are cooperating and will self-impose. Others schools have done far less for worse.

This has been going on for a while, even though it just went public today.

Big Jerm will be remembered as the Gump who could recruit but literally do nothing else well.

Bad with media.
NCAA Troubles.
Some of the worst blowouts in history.
THE WORST QB management in history.
Stubborn.
Hot headed.
Fires coaches during games.
Terrible personnel decisions on the field.
Unwilling to play younger more talented guys.

Some current HC names to watch:
Jeff Brohm wants out of Purdue, we basically hired him last time.
Scott Satterfield wants out of Louisville.
Bryan Harsin has had beef with the Mountain West or whatever conference Boise is in, so he may be ready to move.
Hell no to all of that

More stuff coming per trey Wallace

Juicy af. That said, I think this is all about leverage tho. I don't think we're in any real trouble although individual coaches might be. And even if we are in trouble it will be institutionally light enough that it will have little impact on who we hire. We did this investigation to find a way to get out of a contract not to get ourselves in too deep.

Good news

Give us highlights
Nieds is the main focus of the investigation. Pretty damning and blatant things that will come out in the next few days. Didn't come out and say it explicitly, but other schools in the conference reported us to the NCAA. Compliance was interviewing players yesterday, and seizing things out of coaches offices. Gray and Maurer's absences were related to the investigation. Ansley and Jay were out for Covid. Said what he heard without giving up his sources were very damning. He said the allegations were very blatant and damning, really dumb for us to think we could get away with it.

We ain't bama.

The Knoxville media, UT academics, and campus police/KPD officers take care of the smear campaign on TN football. Other schools don't need to help them do it.

If Tennessee decides to make a change, could use the allegations to significantly mitigate Pruitt's buyout. Doesn't see him fired with cause, and isn't sure Tennessee will move on from Pruitt.

Agreed. I think most of it is about the extension and getting out of it.

Was this .... A coup to rid Pruitt and fire with cause 👀

Did you not see the magical arrows to the knee that we took this year? Arkansas had a sniper in the stands.
I said I've seen it happen but I've never seen a head coach telling them to go down during the game. When a player goes down and stays down during a play the officials have to stop the clock because the guy may be injured. When the guy is walking off the field, after the play, and the coach tells him to go down, that's just not a good look. I think Kiffin is a punk, even if he's hired here, but that's just me.

I just want my kids to see Tennessee as a winning team again. They are seven and four. They root for the orange and white. Come on, reward that sweet innocence with some good football before they get their hearts broken beyond repair. That too much to ask?! Let's make a good hire this time. Please please please.

remember 2015 season ending, going into 2016 Top #10. Was supposed to sign Lawrence and Higgins the next year and had one of the best in state classes you’ll ever see. Future looked like it headed in the right direction. We were so close yet so far
