I'm not pleased about Freeze being out of the picture. I think he could fit well here. I just don't think that he is the #1 candidate we should go after when he's going to be cheap to get.

As HC, Pruitt is ultimately responsible for the team, even if he had no hand in the payouts, if the happened

Sounds like a plan, but I doubt it. Even so, we now have the grounds to terminate with cause. The buck stops with Pruitt. If UT was struggling due to his buyout, they now have the solution to that problem. It's perfect timing to be sure. Hope they take advantage of the gift they were just given.

Meet in the middle. Pay a reduced buyout and call it a day.
