The only thing I wish they would change is to bring back the black/black socks and shoes. Keep the wide strap on helmet.

And also wearing these once a year wouldn't hurt

Oh come on get with the times. Our football uniforms need to be updated. most of you all must be old farts trying to stay traditional. Just ask what the players want. They are the ones who wear em

5 Alabama
6 North Carolina
7 Florida State
8 Michigan
9 Georgia
10 Notre Dame

None of these teams have "modernized" uniforms, and yet they are bringing in the top players in America. There went your argument.

Lol yeah but most of them have changed some unlike ours. And they have something we don't. Wins! (except notre dame that just baffles me)

No changes!! UT's orange jerseys are classic and should not be altered. Do the Yankees change their jerseys? Look at Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State. . .most of the main schools with a rich tradition do not play around with their uniforms. Old school attitude?? You bet! Don't change anything! :good!:

If it ain't broke don't fix it... Let Oregon be the doofuses that can't settle on a look. Tennessee's home orange uni's are the best looking in all of football college OR pro... Don't screw with a good thing.


B-17 pilot... God bless you man! I took a ride in one last year and let me say... I loved every minute of it (maybe because I wasn't being shot at!!) but they ain't built for 42-year olds!!! No wonder they had 19-25 year old guys in those things back in the day!

Tennessee's colors are Orange & White - if you want another color combination, then go find another team to root for!

BTW... Army is CRAZY if they don't stick with those new camo unis.... I'm usually a stickler for tradition but those guys looked great even though they got the snot beat out of 'em... I especially liked the DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY across the back of all of 'em...

I wouldn't mind seeing the throwback jerseys from a 2004 or other throwbacks here and there, but I like the good ol' orange and white. What I DO want to see is us vs bama or florida both wearing home colors.

Here we go again. This is getting ridiculous. Personally, I thought that a black jersey thrown in the mix would be new and exciting, but these days I just don't care anymore. The white jerz with orange pants was a pretty cool look (too bad the pants are jinxed), but a new jersey is not needed. I think that we have some of the best away jerseys in all of cfb, and he home jersey is classic but contemporary.

Well put, B-17! Why change for changes sake? Vols gear is classic, not gimmicky! If you want black unis, cheer for georgia.:eek:k:

I anybody has the 100 years of Voluntters video you'll see that the footage of the trip out to the Rose Bowl in '38 or '39 featured orange jerseys with a kind of khaki colored pants... That was actually a pretty good looking combo... Of course the brown leather helmets really made the look work better... Geez... I sound like some goof from the home shopping network...
