If you look at the Barnes situation, you'll see that facts support the opposite. Barnes would be at UCLA right now if UT had let him walk.

Lol, sure we would have better QB play. But that doesn't mean we are better at other spots. Mullen wouldn't have recruited Too'too. Mullen couldn't get AJ Brown from Starkville High School even though he's an offensive genius.

I just don't believe anything that Mullen has done changes what some of us said when he was out there. He would be better than Pruitt. But, he is not a good fit at UT. He's a better fit at UF, and that's why he took that job.

Too’oo is a fine player but he’s not some kind of program changer lol so I’m not really sure what that matters. Also it’s MLB, it’s not all that important of a position anymore.

You could also make the case that we wouldn’t have totally whiffed on almost every recruit at QB, edge, DT etc.

Mullen is a 10x better coach than Pruitt so honestly i think it’s just silly to question if we wouldn’t be better than 3-7 in year 3.

UT does not want NCAA scrutiny. And going to war with Sankey isn't on the wish list, either.

And right now, UT doesn't have an HC opening.

Explain how we would be under NCAA scrutiny with those hires? Is there a show cause attached to their names that we do not know about? Oh is that a no okay thanks!

That's not the discussion, so we will end it. It was an example. It's my opinion, and there others that agree that just because Mullen is doing swell at UF doesn't mean he was the answer at UT. Not a difficult concept.
