Mehlen. You know if you were a UF fan, that loss against LSU would drive you nuts. LSU had approximately 50 scholarship players, played a freshman QB, and your team didn’t play with discipline. That’s what you get.

Think about it... Kiffin has been in the SEC two total season as an HC and taken Bama to the wire twice.

He could own Saban. I also think the momentum he would bring day 1 would be huge. Bet Fulmer wouldn't have it, the only thing Fulmer did was keep Cut hired long enough to win a natty. Fulmer should have had at least 3 with those teams

He jumped to Ole Miss too early, which has been his issue from the start. Not sure how much he has matured based on his decision making.

If he stuck it out at FAU one more season, Auburn would be beating his door down right now. Don’t get me wrong, I would take him in a heartbeat if Pruitt and think he could win really big here both now and if he never left the first time around.

I don't know why people think Kiffin has matured since his departure from Tennessee. Have you seen his tweets lately? He made fun of a player who got burned for a TD last week. Most players talk trash. It's been part of the game forever but how many head coaches tweet about it? It was in a game between Auburn and Miss State and had nothing to do with Ole Miss. Kiffin is still a clown and it doesn't look like he's matured one bit.

Agreed. I also think if the move was made this year he would have a lot of talent on offense to work with. But with how terrible this recruiting class may end up being, im afraid, if its him or whoever the cupboard will be bare once again. And we have a lot to lose with another bad season because the instate 22 class is loaded.
I just want to sing Rocky Top all night long when we beat Florida.

With the “summer incident”, could it be that the admin doesn’t want the ncaa snooping so the next coach has to be cleaner than Freeze/Kiffin? Sounds like Pruitt has been lax in his recruiting. Brice says that Pruitt brushed A LOT of stuff under the rug.

That doesn't matter all that much anymore. In this new era of mega agents and mega TV money, schools are forced to pay big buyouts, even when coaches underperform. Agents demand schools strike mitigation clauses and give staffers multi-year contracts-- and the greater the leverage, the greater the demands.

Plus if he's here, then he's not at Florida. So that flips a loss to a win by itself. Seems to always compete with Kirby & Georgia too. So he probably loses 2 or 3 here and isn't much different than his record at Florida...I'll take it!
