It’s happening
Gruden was a pipe dream because he was never going to coach in college football. Never. (by the way on the picture of me at the airport I was there just to prove to everyone that Gruden wasn't on the plane as we had reported, we knew who was on the plane, but no one believed us when we said it).

I think with Freeze, it's going to be interesting for all schools with him. I think there will be some decision makers who are fine with him and some who aren't. I don't think some of the decision makers at Auburn want him which is why I don't think he's going to end up there. It also doesn't help his case that the NCAA is already on Auburn's campus thanks to Pearl.

If Hugh Freeze, who is a fine coach but no national championship winner and only shortly removed from a burner phone hooker scandal, is the best UT can do then just imagine what we ultimately end up settling for this go around.

Can we just go ahead and hire Will Healy now before Pruitt is fired?
How many burners does Kingston have?

ob who is connected to Atlanta said there was a group trying to swing for the fences. But one side wants to do it and the other side wants to give Pruitt more time. It would take everyone getting in line to make it happen.

Ty for the summary. I think Auburn took away any argument for keeping him. If UT hangs on to Pruitt at this point, we've told the world we no longer care about college football.

Good coaches want to come, but the admin has to pick the right one among the realistic candidates. Because Urban or Matt Campbell or even Luke Fickell won’t be at the press conference.

You’re too early. Stop in tomorrow morning, when Kingston helps us get to know the real Scott Satterfield, and JohnnyD gives us his top 5 reasons why Temple’s Rod Carey is ready to take the next step...
