Can't recruit if the HC tells a kid I'll retire in 2 yrs.

I cannot see much hope in SC to build a solid program that competes for the SEC Conference title....with or w/o Steve.

Wow...why would MH go to visit Giles???

If we don't get him now, after all of the people that visited, after clips of Reggie Bush and how he was utilized, after a call today from Drayton, you can't say we didn't try.

It appears Kiffin was right about one thing, we won't be outworked.

On a side note, where's all of our Nebraska friends at?

If Giles choose USCe over UT, then we shouldn't worry about it as there's no way anyone making that choice would get through academics at UT.

This should be a no-brainer for an elite back. Join an elite program with championship potential or join one that is a graveyard for proven head coaches who wanted to make it one but have failed miserably.

They're all crazy. Comes along with getting your hopes up just to be brought back down to earth with a crash every single year. They are as delusional as Bama, just with no hardware to back them up.

Drayton will be in Tampa to visit with Giles one last time before he commits. This can't be bad news. Double that with the fact that he hasn't seen anybody for SCar since Thurs. and they aren't going to visit him again and it is gold. Things look very good on the Giles front.

This really is good news. This shows that Drayton really is important. I think we get Giles now.

It seems to me like Giles committing would have a big impact on his position. In his press conference, Kiffin said something to the effect of "what better way to interview people than to watch them recruit in person." The four staff members he maintained are doing on the job interviews right now, and if we land Giles (assuming Drayton has a big part in it, which it sounds like he will), I imagine that will make him look very promising to coach Kiffin.

Kiffen will interview a good while after Giles announces on Tuesday. The only way it could be true is if Kiffen told Giles Drayton will make the staff, which is unlikely.

Drayton has been a super-star recruiter, I hope Kiffin retains him, especially if we get Giles.
