We want to run off a coach we know won't get it done. Its ok to be pissed knowing a win against a hapless team brings this moron back. Calling out posters for not being happy about a win is beating your chest. But carry on
Be mad because we won and the AD didn't personally consult you on how he should handle the football program.

In 2013, Pruitt was hired as the defensive coordinator at Florida State. In his lone season with the Seminoles, his defense ranked number one in scoring defense, allowing just 12.1 points per game, and ranked third in total defense, helping the 2013 Seminoles win the national championship.[9]

In 2014, Pruitt joined the Georgia coaching staff as the defensive coordinator. His 2014 defensive unit finished 17th nationally in total defense, and finished in the top ten in turnover margin and passing yards allowed. Pruitt's 2015 unit at Georgia finished the season ranked seventh nationally in total defense, and led the nation in fewest passing yards allowed per game.

Doubting that he forgot how to coach his defense. So I have zero answers. Except perhaps this defense requires elite talent.
It doesn’t take elite talent, but it does require linebackers who can cover. That’s the missing link which makes his defense run.

There’s not a lot of those guys, so I think he needs to adjust the system till he can get some of those guys.

Remember your post when the loaded in state 22 class sign elsewhere next year. Remember your post when we are 0-12 against the big 3 next year. Remember your post when after year 5 we have to hit the reset button again and the cupboard is bare once again. Short term failure and getting Pruitt out wouldve been 100% better for the program. But hey enjoy your win over Vanderbilt when UF and Co drill us next year.

1 more thing about Pruitt, the past 2 classes he's brought in have elite talent in them. He's signing players that are on par with Fla, Ga, and getting closer to the level of Ala. If he doesn't get fired or step down, I hope he gets the right mix of coaches and recruiters this off season and doesn't micromanage them. He may have learned some valuable lessons on what not to do as a head coach. However, he's not changed in 3 years, so I don't think we'll see anything different next year. I would love for him to prove me wrong, starting this week.

Price had said we might get him back in the class if he waited until February. But im thinking yesterdays win mightve sealed the deal for LSU.
Too bad. I like Lewis as well, but the rumors about him disturb me. Talented kid, but if he's done what's been alleged, we don't need that here.

Lol you want to be able to tell your kids that you were on the right side of history.

Elite is a stretch, in my opinion. Last years class was very good; but did nothing to bridge the gap between us and Florida/Georgia/Alabama.

There is something about Pruitts body language and sarcastic short comments after the game that make me think this thing is about to be over one way or the other.

This guy does not look like he wants to be here anymore. I don't think anybody that makes the decisions wants an uninterested head coach to represent the program. I think he's finishing the year for the players. And Fulmer was always gonna let him do that.

And then I predict we part ways and hire Hugh Freeze. Too much passion around here. Somebody is gonna say the right thing to convince who they have to to get this done. It's too obvious.

Not to mention we didn’t land a contributor at WR or TE in either of the 2 classes prior to last year. We’ve got too much talent to be losing to UK or Arkansas for sure, but Pruitt’s recruiting hasn’t exactly been elite. A lot of that has to do with the product on the field and perceived lack of development. If we don’t fool around and lose to Ga St and BYU last year, that class would have been even better. Same can be said for this year x10.

With better coaching, we should have at least closed the gap with Florida more than we have now.

For the life of me I can’t understand why HB didn’t at least play earlier.

If Chaney could craft an offense that Bray could run as a freshman, I have no doubt he could have drawn up something for Bailey who is more cerebral of a QB.

Nothing at corner or pass rush either, the two most important spots of a defense.

To be successful in the SEC you need at least one elite guy at every level of your defense and the rest need to be, at least, above average.

We don’t have an elite DL or DB yet and it shows. Bryce is really good but constantly dinged up as well and that hampers him pretty often.
