i personally own NE, CVX, CHK, AIV, CX, QLD (ulta long tech), ISRG, C, MER, UYG (ultra long financials)

i'm also long OXY, RIG, and XOM in my clients accounts (among other things)

I have a hunch oil will settle around $80. Nothing to base it on, I just think that is what OPEC will strive to achieve. My opinion on these subjects is completely ill informed, I just wanted to say it so I have a shot at being Nostradamus too.

Demand in India and China, is going to drive it back through the roof again. This is only a short term drop, but I love it nevertheless.

That sounds low to me. I would be surprised if we see anything below 40. We won't see it climb that much until demand can start growing again - probably the middle of next year? When are China, India, etc. expected to begin kicking (or level out in) the international financial crisis? 80 sounds like a good number to me, too.

Eh, there's really no bottem to these markets right now guys (were still looking). Oil can go lower, just like the Dow, Nas. and S&P. This is a trend going on right now. Watch the Dow and Oil charts day after day, if the Dow goes down then oil goes down. If the Dow goes up then Oil goes up. This is a traders market that has been on a very hard downside trend, I hope that changes very fast.

It wasn't me, all I did was made $$$ in my short fund. All the Dems blame everything on Bush, so I guess all of this is on Bush also eh? ..:)

too bad it's going to be the Russians and the Chinese extracting it. As long as Nancy Pelosi and Reid are leading Congress and a global warming alarmist is in the White House, we aren't going to go after our own oil.

I read an article in Forbes about a $5 billion oil rig that is being built as we speak that will going into deep uncharted waters in the GOM. Its suppoesed to be able to pull 500K BPD and Billions of cubic feet of NG. Pretty cool and will be ready by 2010
