I hate to see HB get the “holds onto it too long” rep - he seems worlds better than JG about that.
I’m very confident that all the quarterbacks share trade secrets and chief amongst them is “don’t turn the damn ball over, aight?” Shrout flouted that trying to make enough plays to start next week...and what happened?

He hesitates is the biggest thing imo. Maybe it can be coached out and maybe it cant.
You would too if that ever present hook is in your peripheral vision. Nowhere close to the hesitation exhibited by the QB Pruitt has “trusted” since forever. Plays were made today by 3 different QBs...none of which were that guy.

The holding on to the ball criticism about Bailey is fair at this point but I feel like it’s being blown way out of proportion. Kid is a true freshman and has had two career starts without a spring and fall camp and he’s throwing to WR’s he hasnt been throwing to in practice. Let’s let him get some continuity with the starters before saying that will be his downfall. He’s taking what the defense is giving him and not making that critical mistake, all you can ask for at this point in his career.

On VQ postgame pod they talked about HB basically said he’s in more control of the offense than the coaches think. Said he does nothing great but everything well. AP mad an interesting comment saying he’s in between Casey Clausen and AJ Suggs right now, he can be as good as Casey or a bridge guy like Suggs.
He’s a true freshman who had the oddest onboarding in the history of the sport due to Covid. I see Erik Ainge

We seem to have a lot of slow developing plays. One of the plays where there was a completion to one of the RBs coming across the middle in the 2nd half was nearly a sack, it took so long for him to come open.
