Thats not really true. We still pull top 10-15 classes despite being garbage for 15 years. All it takes is the right coach.

So to be considered a top tier team you just have to recruit to the 7th best class in the SEC?

I’m not saying we can’t be good. I’m saying we haven’t been. Of course we CAN be.

Yes, the right coach at any of those schools, and us including is national championship. It isn't at Ole Miss.

The potential to win a NC doesn’t erase a decade of mediocrity and make you a top tier team.

Of course we CAN be, but we aren’t right now.

Cannot believe that Dorkowitz is a better coach than CJP. Unbelievable

College football for ya.

It’s just lightning in a bottle.... the new coach distracts the 18-20 year olds from their girl chasing and partying long enough for them to hear the message. And just like the cycle is that we’re in, he’ll wear out his honeymoon or he’ll have some dirty laundry aired out and it’s back to the cellar. Or the kids suddenly realize they’re out of their league. Older I get the worse the landscape of college football looks.

See: Arkansas... Pittman probably won’t win another game for the rest of his time there, lol.

Yes it does, there aren't many of those schools around the country. The SEC happens to have the most where there are probably 7 of them. Alabama was mediocre for years before Saban, it was still a top tier job.
