Philip Fulmer loves being the face of the Athletic Department, much like he loved being the face of the football program. I feel at some point he is gonna cut ties with JP just to save his own skin, after all, that is his M.O. Dude will backstab anyone to retain his position :rolleyes:

I mean he's not cheating at liberty. He's still putting up 30+ on a couple of pretty good teams. We can barely put 10 on the board against $hitting teams. We've been in purgatory for almost 20 years. I dont care really what we have to do to do get to Atlanta at this point. People still remember Reggie Bush being the best player not that he got his Heisman taken away. I could care less. We live in a different world now. Win at all cost and worry about the bs later.

He had to cheat AND in his best season ever lost to Memphis by 3 tds

DP I have always valued you and a few other known connected posters on here. I hope you can answer my question. This program desperately needs several 7-8 win winning seasons to get really boost recruiting and to stabilize the program. I realize Freeze has had some issues in the past, but knowing he can walk in and more than likely get you to the 7 win mark in year one and knows what he is doing and can develop players. Can you tell us why we would pass on this option and pursue another coach that more than likely we would hope can develop players and hope that they may get to the 7 win mark? Thanks.

Pruitt will get to the 7 or 8 win mark next year and you don't have to pay him and Freeze. Freeze has Covid now so allow him to recover and not get his hopes up that Tennessee will call him with an offer. Vandy will give him a cursory interview and that will be about it.

He beat a ranked va tech team and lost on a missed field goal at the end to a 8-3 nc state team, with literally a roster full of 2 stars. Thats coaching. He beat a western Kentucky team that has a better record than several of the teams we lost to this year.
It all boils down to coaching. Freeze can coach and Pruitt can't.
