I do think that firing and the way it happened certainly created some tension among players and for sure among the staff. During the games JP is such a hot head when it comes to taking mistakes out on the coaches. Hell in all honesty this wasn’t the first time he had fired a coach in the middle of the game. He fired another coach last season during a game but ultimately came to his senses and recsinded it and let the coach back in the game...tells you what you need to know about how hot he can get.

way to go coach.
embarrassing

That just says he doesn’t have the temperament to be a head coach and it makes more sense as to why he couldn’t stick at places before despite winning titles.....and why coaches have left because they weren’t happy here.

In a way, he's like Brian Kelly, but Kelly was still a better coach.

He should fire himself

Think Charles Huff is another guy they want but he’s going to get the Vanderbilt job.
Clark Lea from ND
BTW, Vandy will have only 17 scholarship defensive players on Saturday. Back up offensive linemen are moving to defensive line. A cornerback is moving to LB. Their offense should have a few more regulars

Thanks for your post. Explains a lot and realize he's not the first to have done that. But he hasn't earned the right to be an azz. So it explains the turnover and decreasing competency of the assistants who are replacing the originals. Good coaches will pass on interviews or if employed at UT, move on to better options and working conditions.

That's not building a good case for retaining Jeremy for another crap season.

Indiana gets screwed. Ohio State gets coasted in....... IU AD speaks as a true leader. I hope Northwestern boat races OSU. Screw the Buckeyes!
If you think Ohio State isn't the best team in the Big 10, then you're blind. They deserve to be in the championship game imo.

If former players (Aaron Murray) are willing to talk like that about their coach (Pruitt) before he was hired, who the hell did we talk to when we Vetted this guy?!?!??
I once worked for a boss who did all his own vetting. Always messed up new hires. He said he could just tell when he talked to them if they were the right fit. Always ended up with hires that would have been easily disqualified with basic background checks.

I appreciate your perspective as it helps us "average fans" get a basic understanding to what is going on as we spend our hard earned dollars supporting this program. For me, no more supporting until I seen proven improvement. I will be a living room fan, when I find time to watch.
