2020 Presidential Race

administered by the states....the states dictate how they administer the elections. not the federal government. This is spelled out in the constitution. So are we now retroactively going to change this. Should we now go to a national election and use popular vote to determine the winner? If so, we can do away with the electoral college. You can not have it both ways.

And those states have rules that they did not follow. They did not follow their own laws.

We learned how from the best. It's beginning to look like just maybe the GOP learned something about fighting back from your side, too. It's pretty much like mutually assured destruction ... or be careful what you start - you know like the nuclear option in passing legislation when you aren't assured of always being in control.
This isn't the GOP "fighting back". It's a few members of the GOP making fools of themselves through frivolous litigation, in order to placate Donald Trump's ego and pacify his bitter anger.

Corrected my meaning in another post. The point is that the election officials can not just decide to change the state laws the week of.

that is the most perplexing thing.....like why? He will never be satisfied. He will burn the entire house down regardless what they do. He is the jealous bf that will kill his wife, his gf her bf and his kids because in his mind, they can not live without him.

Why not? If they went through the process of changing said laws. Is it written in the constitution where they have to change the laws during a specific time period? Where does it say that they have to change the laws X amount of days before the election?

You can't go through the state legislature and make those changes legally is that short of a time. Thus, the filing of the challenges. Simple really.

That's gonna twist some panties ... probably leave skid marks in them, too. It really is getting to be popcorn time.
They’re not gonna win. But they’re gonna go scorched earth and burn it all down in style. I’m starting to really think that’s the play. Get the right side of America as pissed off and agitated as the left side. If that is so and they succeed that is a Pandora’s Box you can’t close again.

I like it 😈

Four years of RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA laughs in your damn face.
... and the results of the 2020 presidential election will forever laugh in Donald Trump's face, and he knows it. That goofball dementia patient with the loser, coke addict, idiot son? Yeah, that old guy who didn't even bother with a campaign? He kicked your guy's a$$... big time.

"The calendar has now been turned to an election year. It should be left up to the American people to decide if Donald Trump is fit to continue serving in his capacity as President of the United States." - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, following the end of the Senate impeachment trial in February.

Donald Trump's fate as president was left up to the American people, and they pulled the plug.

You actually can. How are changes made then?

The proper way with discussion among legislators who hopefully argue the advantages and disadvantages and in doing so find any pitfalls that the changes might bring. Probably why existing law says that state legislatures have the responsibility rather than one individual or one judge.

That is what happened.
