Stephen Godfrey says Napier is focused on our job and making it known to everyone (including his agent Jimmy Sexton) behind the scenes that he wants it.
It’s hilarious we have all of these coaches saying they want the TN job that isn’t open, and we have mouthpieces from the AD saying Pruitt will return next year. What gives? I wonder who is in the background pushing the narrative of these coaches wanting the TN job that isn’t open?

The two big things Pruitt supposedly brought to UT were Defense and Recruiting. So in year 3 both are absolutely pathetic. He has nothing right now to hang his hat on...
Recruiting is going off the cliff as I type this... the people who make the decisions see all of this... But you are going to wait another year so it will be another complete rebuild?
I say again--- If Freeze is truly interested, explain the situation and give him an escalating contract $$ to help ease the burden of buying cornbread and co out...

I’m wondering if DISNEY/SEC are partnering up for a stand alone App or video subscription service. That would generate tons of revenue for the conference 🤔

I did the math on PJ Fleck just in case anyone is interested...
If he leaves before Dec 31st... UM would be owed 10 million...
If he leaves after Dec 31... it drops to 4.5 million

That would be a looooong 11 days if Pruitt is fired on the 20th... worth waiting to save 5.5 million though

We forgot about the classic, age-old Vols coaching search clause of "Since Tennessee is a public university they legally have to keep the job posting open to the public for X amount of time", so maybe the 11 days is needed anyway lol

Someone sell me on Napier...
I was thinking the same
Hes from TN. Hes young a dynamic. Has built Louisana into a top 25 team. Is 27-11 as a HC. His OC should he bring him was at UGA in 2015 where they averaged nearly 400 yards a game. He has experience coaching at a power 5 with stints at Clemons and Alabama. He actually wants to be at TN, unlike someone who just wants to use us to go back home. Hes not Pruitt

If the SEC GOTW gets moved to ESPN I hope Sean McDonough gets the gig. Would probably be Fowler and Herbstreit though

if Phil is fired, shouldn't we be firing him soon to have a new AD in place to fire to fire JP and bring someone in new?
Both Fulmer and Pruitt just signed extensions but apparently that doesn't mean anything to some people. It's a Money Thing

So the question is ... Does getting money help us fire Pruitt or are we going to foolishly hire more assistant coaches with that money

Well this is UT, so whatever the stupid, blinder, short-term, program imploding option is, you can be assured they will probably go that route...

Whoever our next coach is I believe he needs to have Tennessee ties meaning either an Alumni, coached in Tennessee, or from Tennessee. To me the only way to turn this thing around is if our coach loves UT and actually wants to be here. Lane, Doofus, Lyle, and Pruitt never wanted to be here it was just an opportunity they couldn’t turn down IMO.

My only argument is... his only loss is to Chadwell who also wants the job but isn't good enough for some people on this board
