IDT the culture will take years to change. But we are years behind the talent of our rivals. The top teams are simply at another level. Teams traditionally below UT have closed the gap with us with less talent, while we haven't closed it with the teams above us. We're the middle of a crap sandwich.

UT does less with more while hungrier teams do more with less. And UT gets less out of our investments in staff and resources-- which are considerable-- than other teams who spend less. UT football does not make the most of what we have anywhere and that shows up on the field every Saturday.

Yes. But most of us aren't worried about UF UGA etc right now, now matter how much we nash our teeth and complain those weeks. The issue is losing to UK, Arky, hopefully Vandy so the gump is gone, GA St, Byu etc...

I'd be very cautious about hiring a guy having a miraculous season in the weirdest season ever. He needs to have past history of success, not just Rona year success.

Chadwell, IMO, hasn't had enough consistency. Plus, I read where he got into some NCAA trouble at Charleston Southern. If you're going to take a coach with past NCAA trouble, you go Freeze.

My thoughts on Chadwell as well. Vacated wins at the FCS level already (18 total) if you're going for that just get Freeze, at least he was doing it at the SEC level.

It’s because we’ve had Dooley, butch, and Pruitt as our head coaches. We’ve found a way to hire three complete duds in a row, with the worst yet looking like he’s gonna get another year

Chadwell is a guy you would take a risk on as an OC, but not a HC, IMO. He just doesn't have enough on his resume to warrant a P5 HC gig yet.

Also I'm not sure Coastal counts as a rebuild...Joe Moglia was 56-22 and his only losing season was 2018 after returning from medical leave (2017 Chadwell took a team that was 10-2 and went 3-9, granted 2017 was their first FBS season).

He wouldn't be my first choice, but some reasons would be ok,, 1st he's not Pruitt. 2nd, he's doing well in an ok conference. Drinkwitz came from App St and has been great for Mizzou his first year. Neal Brown is turning WVa around after leaving Troy. He also has some qualities that I think would sell well with recruits. He is very reminiscent of Dabo and has a similar culture to his program.
