This may not be a popular opinion, but Pruitt is one of the best defensive minds in the game. No one is going to take the play calling duties away from Kiffin. I think Pruitt needs to start calling the defense again. Something has to change, if he is going to stay he has to get that fire back he had the first year and last year.

I tend to agree. When he "allegedly" took over the play calling in the Arky game there were much better results.

Optimism while completely failing is not a solution and does not drive progress. I am also old enough. When things aren’t working you find ways to make it work and Pruitt hasn’t been the answer since GA State.

I think your inferring a little to much from that post and implying something thats not there.

That being said there's probably a little more hope for them next season than us. Their leading passer, receiver, and rusher are all FR. They've also added some highly rated transfers to the defense.

Totally agree. I actually said that a few weeks ago. It's no different than a HC who calls the offense. The biggest catch to that is Pruitt has to be able to switch back and forth and still manage situations on offense.

Pruitt has had exceptional defenses at Bama, FSU, and GA - all under top tier head coaches. All 3 at the time were stacked on D. He has failed to recruit the most important position in SEC, D Line, and has a subpar secondary which is supposed to be his fortay.

I think Pruitt has call the defense all year. He continually says he made a bad call in almost every game. The defensive play calling is on him.
